I emigrated to Canada 57 years ago from my beloved hometown of Bangalore, which was then very much an Anglo-Indian stronghold. Over time, sadly, this admirable and endearing segment of Indian society slowly drained away from the Motherland. So it’s sooooo very reassuring Pearl, to not only watch you demonstrate your skills so efficiently, but to watch you do so with such pride, such dignity. I’m grateful for stalwarts like you, honestly. Now, I want to go out and buy some Chappati Atta!

Thanks for your recipes. I am a Maltese from Malta and we have a dish which is like the Rumble Tumble you made which is sadly almost forgotten like many traditional recipes all over the world. The only difference is that we don't use chili or spices but add a little garlic and grated Romano cheese, Salt and Pepper. In maltese ce call it BARBULJATA pronounced as BAR BULL YATA. It's normally served on on hot crunchy Maltese sourdough bread

We call it Anda Bhurji, my mom tempers the onions with cumin, haldi and some other spices as well before adding the tomatoes and eggs. She also adds finely minced green chillies sometimes. It was our childhood fave for weekends! We typically ate it with roti or in sandwiches…YUM!!

Hi Pearl, request if you could share your secret of preserving green coriander in the freezer. Thanks God Bless You. I love all your recipes❤
@pearlskitchen99993 күн бұрын
Hi Patricia, it’s easy 👌🏻 I wash and drain the coriander and then spread it on the tea towel to soak up excess moisture , then I chop and freeze , it really freezes very well. 👌🏻

I am happy to tell you I am an expert at Rumble Tumble Pearl because I got confirmation from you in this video. I wasn’t sure if I was cooking it the right way. For chapattis and parathas I run miles away. Too hard. I go for the frozen ones at the supermarket😂. Your channel is really cool. So many wonderful memories of home in India. Our cook (ayah) did our cooking there. Mum over here in Australia. She passed last year. Really sad but now it is me trying to carry on the tradition but passing it on to my daughter with the help of your channel. Thanks Pearl. ❤️🤗🙏🏼 Forgot to mention the chimta. I love it.😍
