When I interned for SYCOtv, the company who was producing X Factor at the time, it was common for the producers to fish through possible contestants like her and put them in a situation to get emotional responses in order to attract attention to the show. It's obvious that she is a volatile person. Setting her up for this was pretty easy. When she said "you told me to sing a Pink song," she was referring to the producers or at least the producer liaison who interacted with her behind the scenes. The judges don't usually have a part in it

Likeliness is the producers set her up at the producers audition and told her to sing a "pink" song which is why she said it here probably. Someone posted the full script. Apperantly when she said "You told me to sing Pink", she continued saying that the producers back stage told her so, she kept looking backstage to hope to get the producer on stage, but they cut that out, to make her look even crazier. Also when her dad went on stage, the dad gave a speech about how the producers told her to sing pink, but the judges then just said that they are not responsible for what song is played, they're only here to judge the audition. Basically they told her that they don't give a shit, and that's when the girl started swearing. Again, this entire part was cut out to make her look even crazier. Reality TV at it finest! Editing until it looks like you have a crazy person on stage.

Random 21 this is how I interpret it, it may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure after the second song they weren't referring to her as being pink, but being average. She sounded like any other person who wanted to be a pop singer, and they gave her honest feedback that she needed to go and find her own unique voice. Just like the guy said, (forgot his name) "the second song was much better but I'm still confused about your identity as an artist" I believe he wasn't talking about Pink there, but how she wanted to sound like other singers in general, this possibly including pink. X Factor told her to sing a pink song. Louis asked her to sing another song just to give a reason for them to say that she's not good enough. The media can sometimes be really misleading. I thank her for telling us what really happened. Also, once my friend's sister went to a talent show in my country. She was doing good until the semi-finals. The company told her to sing a song that she's never heard before. She thought she could choose her own song, but she had to agree with the company or she would have to leave. So she sang it, it wasn't the way the judges wanted it to be, and she failed the show. We never really get to see what's behind these talent shows, and it's just not ethical what these people do to the contestants.

That's right. From what I've heard 'reality' shows like this will tell you how to act, what to say, and what to sing. I've known of a few people who had entered Idol competitions and were accepted based on their sad life stories. Only those with a story would get through. A lot of reality tv is scripted. She was probably forced to sign something that said she couldn't mention the fact she was asked to sing a song etc but when they made those comments she just couldn't contain her frustration. Here here where do we get started. On the signup sheet it states that you must put down 4 songs (they must all be by other artists, not yourself) and you must come prepared to sing them all. They do not tell you to sing any song of their choosing they ask you to sing whichever song you'd like from those four songs you put down beforehand. The other songs are for judges to A.) give you another chance if they feel you have more potential or B.) they can use it as a reference to see some of the songs you like. Secondly it states in the 4th paragraph of the terms and conditions (on the audition sheet) that the producer has every right to film people. Her not allowing the cameramen to film her, or DAMAGING expensive property can get her into a lot of trouble as she would of had to agree to the terms and conditions. Finally I would like to say the judges didn't 'ruin' her (as many of you are saying) it is her fault and I assume she has some kind of ADHD or anger issues. That's all :) Have a nice day!

I personally believe that maybe somebody backstage, in the crew, may have told her to sing a pink song and not the judges. when she says "you guys told me to sing a pink song" I believe she was talking about the X factor crew in general and therefore gets thrown off when the judges sat in front of her claim that it did not come out of their own mouths. also, she looks towards her parents, or the crew as if she was looking for help or someone to support her claim that they told her to sing pink. If anything, I can hear the sincerity in her voiceand her facial expression the first time she claims that they told her to sing it. However, if she deserved to go through, her voice should have made up for it in the second song which was not pink.

Charles Almon Hmmmm, it's hard to say one way or the other. The way the woman reacts on stage seems genuine and this clip appears to be plagued with edits in the show's favor. If you watch attentively, the dad brings her back on stage with him to corroborate her story. It wasn't to apologize like many people seem to think, evidenced by his body language. At 4:38 there's a small audio blip of the father saying "she was..." and then it cuts out. It's impossible to draw a definitive conclusion based on this video, but having watched it several times I find myself leaning toward the "set-up" theory. In any case, it really isn't that important and I can see how the video can be argued the other way.

there's been a few people that have come forward with similar cases to this, where during the selection process to be in the 'first audition' (first auditions aren't actually first auditions, they are selected before that) they are asked to sing something specific and the singer thinks everything's fine and find out (like in this) that the whole thing's just been a plot to be made a mockery of. producers asked her to sing a pink song. i don't blame her for being angry, this has possibly tarnished any possible career she could have in the future in the music business all for tv entertainment.

Zoe was told to sing a P!nk song by the producers. Apparently they bugged her microphone during her second song. The show heavily edited her breakdown. She tried to explain that the producers told her to sing a P!nk song but they turned her microphone off. And the only person she attacked was the cameraman who continued to film her even after she repeatedly begged him to stop filming (they cut that out as well). Zoe made a video on her channel where she gave her side of the story. She seems really sweet. And she received a lot of hate because of that show to the point where she attempted to take her own life! The judges must have known she was set up, especially Louis and Tulisa, they clearly didnt like her. Many contestants have said that Louis and Tulisa were bullies on that show. It is a shame Zoe didnt make it as a Singer as she had potential, but im glad she has a good life now.
