Unfortunately you didn't talk about two very important things: 1, Do you have to start a new game to play it or can you play the DLC as a continuation after finishing the game 2, how much play time has the DLC to offer until its missions are finished? Hope you can supply some answers to that.

I rarely sour on games. But I also feel that outer worlds I would not ever return to as a replayable title. I liked what I got well and this. But I get ya. I think I just lack any real time lately to return

For me its the fact I played it on Gamepass for a buck, and to play the DLCs Id now have to buy the base game on top of DLCs on Steam, with no idea if my gamepass save is even transferable. Not to mention if the saves even exist, as Gamepass sometimes keeps the saves in the games folder and deletes them without asking when uninstalling the game.

The game had issues at its current length. Making it 3x longer would have killed this game. I still like the game, but things should have been improved.

@@Troll_vs. well even then this is normal. It came out at the end of 2019 with two planned expansions. The first releasing in 2020 so this one being now is kinda expected. Same with other games that have expansion passes (DLC and expansions are different, a well made DLC is still much smaller than a well made expansion. So a dlc pass being done in a year is normal. An expansion you’d expect about a year per expansion. The Witcher for example had a DLC and then expansion). I’m more surprised at the fact the last expansions was even classed as an expansion with how lacking it was compared to this

Finally got to play the base game on game pass windows. Been meaning to get it, was just one of those games I knew I'd love and sure enough I'm tempted to get the DLC for it, but if I do that I feel like I should buy the game incase it goes off game pass. And that's why I haven't yet purchased this game, because I am waiting for the definitive edition, which almost all the time is much more affordable than the base game plus separate DLCs. I had a lot of fun with the base game, mainly because of the writing, humor, and characters. But the gameplay will always stop me from coming back. It severely lacks that "umph" factor and I'm still disappointed with the lack of new weaponry.

If I wasn't told this was from DLC and not the main game I'd never have guessed. Every area looks exactly the same in this game. All the outside is this mildly overgrown with alien plants look with random buildings and objects placed here and there. Same with the inside buildings. Nothing in the game is unique enough that you can, without looking at a sign or your map, tell which area you're in.

I had a 10 gb update from Steam this morning for Outer Worlds and Im noticing a performance drop. It stutters for a good while now though it evens out after a few minutes. Ive really enjoyed Outer Worlds so far but I cant help but feel like there's something missing from the gameplay mechanics....grenades maybe? It would also be nice to loot enemies who are clearly wearing armor but have no armor in their inventory....stuff like that.

Playing Outer Worlds during the early stages of the pandemic was a great way to cope with the stress and uncertainty. It really transported me, and the sense of exploration/humor brought me back to my childhood playing Fallout 3
