The guy in the window takes a selfie with you if you dont point the gun at him and says something like "keep doing a good job clearing the streets (of thugs)" etc. He would look at the phone, like talking in snapchat, makes a victory sign and tries to take a pic with with you and him. +Roflsean64 I always stop and "Smell the flowers" in games like this. So far i have 3-5 games on a list of very graphically detailed games. Nr 1. The Batman Series. Nr 2. GTA V. Nr 3. The Division. The details in these games are on top of the list. The amount of time and effort that has gone into putting texture to things and place them in the world. I mean if you look around in The Division and look at the surrounds a bit more. You will see details and artistry all over and i really appreciate it more and more. Some places tells little stories, (Usually death scenes) but its grim and i like that too. Your review however ACG, makes me think of it and appreciate it even more, because so few devs bothers with truly making the gameworld rich and atmospheric.

As someone who works in audio for games as a contractor, a fair amount of companies will spend their budget on everything else and then come to us and ask us to do amazing things with the audio. We give them a realistic quote and they offer us 10% of what we quoted because they had no idea that composing 12 hours of music, designing thousands of sounds, processing hours of dialogue, and implementing all of those assets and making them work would involve 4 people and thousands of hours. They start chipping away at what they want because they thought their $20,000 budget would've been more than enough. I could go on longer, but /rant.

Love these Walking the Walk videos. Your research, and love for games really shows through. It does in your reviews as well, but with these longer videos it's much more evident. I also enjoy that there is research to be done. By that I mean all of the detail you go into about how the devs come to a certain decision, or how they themselves do research and build a game world. It gives a serious sense of the mountain of effort they go through to bring a game to market.

Great great concept and video. Perhaps if more game reviewers did something like this then gamers would have a little more appreciation for what goes into making these games. A couple of points I want to mention: 1. That dramatic change in weather in the beginning is because the introductory cell is just an outside safehouse, and since they want you to be able to see everything clearly it doesn't have the same dynamic weather FX that the map cells have 2. NYC doesn't need a disaster to have those Police watchtowers erected, they're already up in a lot of places, most often in the "hoods". This only really started happening a few years ago. 3. You missed a great moment around the 41:30 mark where you ran past the American flag blowing right near a gigantic light; if you look up at it the global illumination and light refraction FX are amazing, so amazing that I felt inspired to take a screenshot (and that was on the PS4). 4. I hope you show off some of the minor details in environment interaction that the game has; I think it's a great amount included for a shared-world game. For instance, you can actually shoot lights out (but they come back on pretty fast), u can chip away at the concrete barriers to have a better shot at enemies ducking behind them, shoot out car tires to lower the car, objects in the apartments have collision and real-time lighting FX, and in one mission there's a wall mounted fish tank with a dead JTF officer inside and I was quite surprised to see you could shoot the tank and make the water and fish spill onto the floor. Great stuff man, keep it up.

+Juls Token 2. Looking at them they aren't temporarily randomly plugged into the electric poles with normal pluges though are they? That was the point here and talking to people there it seemed like those are actually set up less temporarily. Maybe they hadn't seen any. Ours in town are different depending if they are temp or permanent including a hardline
@CouchCit8 жыл бұрын
ACG No doubt, some of them are more temporary than others, and the ones that are temporary are sometime plugged into electrical poles. I really just wanted to clarify for the viewers that aren't from NYC. Many of us who actually live there feel some sort of way about those watchtowers in residential neighborhoods so it's an important fact to know they're around during these "normal times". Great observation though.

When I was playing the beta and it started snowing for the first time, where everything got very gray and I could barely see ahead of myself, I found it incredibly eerie. It almost reminded me of a lot of the 9/11 footage I've seen of people walking through the streets after the towers fell and the dust and debris clouding the streets. Great video as always. Yeah there was a bit of a graphics downgrade, but this game is still really damn impressive technically and graphically.

I always love it when you talk about sound. I think sound is just something that most people (myself included) most of the time will only absorb passively. And I think good sound in video games will have a positive effect on the player even if he or she doesn't notice it. But at least for me it really helps appreciate the game as a whole even more when I have an idea of whats going on behind the scenes and I think your walking the walks are something that really helps in that regard, and not only when it comes to sound. So thanks for uploading such unique content. Oh and by the way, are you still gonna make a second wtw for the dark zone?

Seeing this walk through, i have high expectations for the watch dogs sequel. Ubisoft always had beautiful and quite accurate setting to begin with, say London and Paris in the AC series or New York in this game. If the single player missions have a huge diversity, i believe it will have a huge potential similar to the sandbox games released by Rockstar.

Recently scribed to your channel and really like your reviews. I'm really enjoying the game and it does have its faults, but still plenty of fun. I think a great opportunity was missed when they didn't include consequences for killing civilians (can't even hurt them) and having certain enemies (like the regular hoodie thugs) have instant death when getting shot in the head with at least a level 7 weapon.

My suspension of disbelief clashes with the division. its just.... i cant shoot some fucker wearing a hoodie 12 times in the HEAD and believe that he isnt dead. the world and the gunplay are so near to life, yet the gameplay is far... far from it. i probably wont pick up the division again.

Geat video karak, I'm surprised you praised the sound of guns that much since I found them very lacking. Most of them sound like airsoft guns (except for rifles). Especially pistols and machine guns sound lousy and not very satisfying. Shootouts in streets are perfectly demonstrated by Heat (the movie) and also Insurgency (the game). In both cases you can actually feel the power of the guns. In that department Division fails to deliver for me.

+Ilker D. Well each is a real sample. As in a 100% real gun, perhaps I pickedup on that. Could be that they mixed for muddy sound and that the post processing done on each is good.
