This board is actually very forgiving. Supportive and aggressive when you need it but very playful also. Just excels in all conditions. I haven't touched my '24 BSOD since I got the Descender because of how versatile and nimble it is. My daily driver. Straight weapon!

owning a 170W cheater spec 5'10 / 155 lbs/ 9.5 US boot It's basically built to match alpine carving in a soft boot form. The comparable board is Gray Desperado type R which is not available unless you live in japan. stiff/ aggressive / very hard to skid turn, only for people who can tilt the board over 70 degree and carve like James Cherry or Rama109.

As mentioned, Stranda has been around since 2015 as a brand name, but Mats has been making boards much longer than that.

Curious how this compares to the Jones Flagship/Flagship pro

Stiffer than the Flagship, probably closer to the Pro with some tweaks in the flex points. On edge it grips more underfoot than the total edge. This has a more damp ride on edge but is a little more lively in the tips.
