There’s a KZbinr named Danny Dinosaur who makes a series called Dodo Airlines where it’s like a sitcom/sketches filmed in animal crossing using Harv’s Island. I feel like you could do something similar, with the same approach as sample conversation using the objects in animal crossing. That would be amazing

I think it's really underrated how important comprehensible input is for learning Japanese. Please make more of these this is really useful for not only playing games but daily life.

最高すぎ! I know this would be quite the tone shift, but I can imagine a Comprehensible Gaming video/game world tour video for places in the Yakuza games (e.g. the Kamurocho district in Judgement), showing all the real and fake shops, cafés, etc. and use these places to get a conversation going with vocab, trivia and all that good stuff. Thanks for the hard work you two, it really paid off!!

This video was ABSOLUTELY, perfect for some immersion content, I loved every single minute of it, an amazing work behind and really really helpful! Even tho I understood everything and knew almost everything there was like 5-6 words that I've never heard before! Thank you so much for your content Mat, looking forward for more content like this, maybe even harder!

This is such a good video, and a fantastic idea for a new series or format to the others! No joke this is so cool and puts so much context to have an in language house tour or other activities of everyday items and vocabulary. Thanks so much for all the hard work Matt and so happy to see the channel branching in so many awesome directions!

A bit basic for me but I love the style. Only thing is, maybe talking with a more native speed would be more beneficial for people listening skills in general. Perhaps something to consider if you do this style thing at a higher level

Thank you for taking the time to make this amazing video! ✨ I really enjoyed the format of this video. It helped to contextualise a lot of vocabulary and verbs you would use around the house. It also had great sentence structures for clarifying understanding of kanji compound words. It would be great to see more interactions in a digital space that mimic a real life conversation. Something like two people going on an adventure in FF14 could be really cool! Thanks for the amazing content as always! ❤

I think this video is very good. BUT having the subtitles that far down means whenever I pause the video to read the sentence, the youtube video play bar is right on top of it. If they were raised a bit higher that would be nice
@GameGengo
@GameGengo Жыл бұрын
Ah that's a good point! Its a shame the youtube play bar does that! However that's why I put the JP subs on as well, so you can also choose to turn on the Japanese subtitles yourself and adjust the text size etc yourself if you like and itll cover the part in the video.
@stopthelawsuits
@stopthelawsuits Жыл бұрын
@@GameGengo Okay I couldn't finish the video yesterday because I had an event come up so I'm back today to watch it. First half is a home run. And using subtitles on is very useful since it allows quick search (i use yomichan and it's compatible). The slight contrast between the male and female was very helpful for me, and both of them are super easy to understand. The male talks like he is a teacher and the female talks very clearly but more like a person. I mean both of that in a good way. The second half "immersion stage" is, while not bad, a bit flawed in my opinion. Instead of simply allowing the full line of dialogue to be on screen, it seems like you broke each like into 3-4 parts. So they just quickly flashed on and off. I think it could have better been done with the entire sentence being up (like in the first half) but just colour highlight the section of the dialogue which is active. A quick example of what I'm talking about is at 11:59. よし、ぞれじゃあ 中に入ろう! Very good video, thank you for making it. I hope you do more dialogues like this in the future

Again, I cannot express how much I appreciate this channel and the work you pour into it! I admit I understood about 1% of the conversation, so the ending really helped me, but I also learned ways words/phrases I already knew could be used different like 'soro soro' I thought it was 'about time for', but apparently it could be used as 'soon'. So thank you! Love what you do here on the channel!!
