We did that with our dog and kittens at the SPCA. Wanted to find a cat who'd adjust well to a dog. Having a rabbit and having tried to bond him with friends' and family members' rabbits for play dates, I'd heard of rabbit speed dating, but I didn't know it was a thing many shelters actually did! That's super cool that Otis got along with Olive so well. Things can be... very intense when bonding if they don't bond 😬Bonding is wacky and fun and you get to learn a lot about natural rabbit behavior and their social hierarchies, but I would MUCH prefer a pair that didn't try to actually murder one another. It IS funny to watch them try to shove their heads underneath each other's chins over and over in a shoving match to try to get the other to groom them to assert dominance though, LOL

In horses we get lethal white foal syndrome where 2 overo breed. (They are coloured horses where the white is completely over the horses back, so no colour crosses). The problem is some normal coat colours like bay (brown with black mane and tail) or chestnut (gingery colour) can carry and pass on the overo gene. This is why if you breed to a coloured overo horse then you should gene test yours.
