My mom worked for a chiropractor for 35 yrs. He mainly treated humans, but there were times that one of the horse farms would call him to work with their horses. When I was a kid, we were given a couple of puppies from a friend. One of them had neck and front leg problems and could not stand on the legs. My mom's boss treated him for a few of weeks. The issues cleared up, and the dog grew to old age, skipping and jumping all the way.

As a former senior orthopaedic nurse in the late 70's-early 90's [UK/Germany] I was really excited to see the improvement from the hard work of the owners and Dr. Doug as well as the lovely Zoe! I looked after patients with skull traction and leg traction and yes it is a slow process when it comes to the spine and the nervous system and sometimes it doesn't work. Great job all round and I really enjoyed the video! Hope Zoe has a speedy recovery and be independent and happy again!

My senior lost feeling in both back legs and 5 months of chiropractic work, cold laser and supplements ALA and omega 3’s and he was able to walk again in time for Christmas and a trip to FL. Then his heart started failing but seeing him dance at Christmas will always be one of my best memories. The chiropractor told me he would walk again, he was right. Don’t give up.

I have used equine chiropractors w/some of my rescue horses. Recommend. One I rescued from 4 years gone feral in the mtns up by Grand Junction, CO, was slightly lame. My tall farrier noticed a slightly-dropped scapula (shoulder blade, perhaps from a mtn lion attack),. 3 chiropractic sessions, ears to tail & hooves, 2 wks apart & gentle exercise fixed it. Muscle tone & warm-up are so important - in people and horses. Great story, eh?

Poor baby was stressing out but she understood you were trying to help her. I’m sure her anxiety was from pain of manipulating her discs. As time passed, she was definitely less anxious. As a spinal patient myself, decompression felt great after therapy. My therapist used to hook a hip belt on me and tie it on his hips and using his full body weight, he’d pull on my hips. It opened the discs up and relaxed the muscles. So glad nobody gave up on her.

Wow. Huge respect to Zoe's family and of course to you, Dr. Doug. It may not look like the straightest of walks at the end of the video, but it still is infinitely better then the initial zero. The amount of health problems that could have been caused by a prolonged lower-body immobility alone has made it all very much worth it. I am hoping for full recovery. I did pause the video at the end to write this and then unpaused before posting and heard that the vet had initially given Zoe a month to live. Welp. Turns out that I was even more right than I thought. Thank you, Dr. Doug.

This was a really tough case but Dr Doug, you have a beautiful heart ❤️ and did your absolute best. This is what I call a miracle and they do exist, as well as working as a team and never give up. Isn’t Dr Doug is the best, from the beginning of this video I knew it, if anyone can help Zoe then it’s definitely you and you were so awesome 👏 throughout her journey. Her peeing and pooping while being adjusted didn’t bother Dr Willen cause he knew that could happen when they were.stretching her. Once again you’re the GOAT and thank you 🙏 for your talented magic hands, they do create a real magic. To Karen and Carlos, they’d be a great 👍 parents to their children one day and just like Zoe, they’ll be so lucky to have you as they’re parents. Great progress. I wondered about water treatment. Fill a bathtub partially and just put her in enough to work her legs. It will stimulate muscles and increase blood flow, might help, it helps with humans. If there is nerve damage from injury or accident, those will either not change or sometimes they will regenerate somewhat. Good luck. God bless y'all for not turning your back on her. ❤
