What was the most troubling thing for you when you learned Animate? Let me know in the comments below. If it lends itself to a short video, I'll add it to the playlist. Thanks!

I spent two and a half days scouring books and tutorials. No where did I find notice of an important rule. Layer parenting is only provided in ActionScripts. NOT provided in HTML5canvas ! Only when I called the adobe help line did I learn that I needed to switch from HTML5 to ActionScript. Groan.

Timeline, frame , keyframe, kinds of tween etc. I'm new to Adobe animate and this video helps alot since it makes me so confused

Carl, I am very impressed with the clarity (and humor) that you've offered in your Animate videos. While I have a background using older versions of Flash, your videos have been helpful to me, and I can see how they would be helpful to beginners using Animate. I wish I had had access to your videos when I learned how to use Flash years ago, mostly on my own, from a third party manual. Thanks again!

Man thank you! you're a life saver, I pressed ctrl+B to try trim an image, I'm new and still playing around with tools here and it permanently get stuck in break apart mode, and every strokes I draw is now just break apart into dots pattern when I click on them. It's such a torture, I've been here over hours trying to just get this one thing fixed back into object mode, thank you again!

Seems that when you draw lines that cross each other (with pen or pencil tool), the always end up merging whichever mode you're in! Any light on this?
@snorklTV Жыл бұрын
Sorry that isn’t my experience. I just did a test and each stroke in object drawing mode had its own bounding box and was non-destructive. 🤷♂️

Hello! Nice video! I have a question about the shapes, why i have to do Ctrl+B each time to "seperate"? Because before i doesn't had this problem, i select my object and modify it freedomly :/

One thing I had a hard time with was moving the transformation point on my symbol. I would move it on a keyframe and then I would forget to move it on the other keyframe that it was in. What I should of done to start with was make sure I had the registration point set right to start with. I guess I had to learn the hard way.

my fill and stroke are separating even in object drawing mode. pls help
@Hepworks3 жыл бұрын
I think you've ALMOST solved my problem...so I traced a hand, but now seem to have all my strokes as separate drawing objects...I seem now only to be able to select them as anchor points (so object mode?) and want to be able to merge them all so I can fill them in...great video!!
@snorklTV3 жыл бұрын
glad the video helped! if you select all of them you can do command-b or control-b to break them apart. perhaps that will help.
@Hepworks3 жыл бұрын
@@snorklTV thanks - I'm getting closer but probably still missing something that afterwards will be obvious...was able to eventually get what I wanted using 'expand to fill' - so perhaps it converted my previous paths into shapes, then let me fill inside them all? Thanks for getting back to me - this video really set me on the right path as I'd had no idea there were two drawing modes...when I internalize how to use them , there'll be no stopping me. except snacks...and fatigue...and distractions....

with the brush tool selected it is in the tools panel. In Animate 2020 it is also in the properties panel. Make sure tools panel is expanded fully. see image: prnt.sc/quiwwr

snorklTV mine is literally not there. And the tool panel is grayed out. T.T is there not a shortcut or something!?
@samdavepollard4 жыл бұрын
@@jamesryan2217 late reply but in case it helps others, worth pointing out that everything in the Properties panel is context sensitive. Unless you have a tool selected the Tool tab will, indeed, be grayed out.
