Ironically, the 'bad guy' of the movie, the alien, was a better parent than Buck. His kid wandered off with a stranger, and he didn't notice, but when he DID, he freaked out because his kid was with a stranger and was going to basically go full Liam Neeson on the entire town to find his boy. It wasn't really 'bad parenting' so much as a freak accident.

Do we wanna talk about Chicken Father who allows to lecture the alien dad about being a bad parent, after all the horrible things he did to his own son throughout the movie? True, the aliens went a bit too far and called the entire Galactic Army, but their child was missing in a mostly unknown planet and they panicked, not even knowing if he was okay. And by the way, like Mr Enter says, I don't think Buck really redeemed himself at the end, he still seems the usual jerk as before

People always hate on this movie because everybody in the town makes fun of Chicken Little and thinks hes a loser but i saw How To Train Your Dragon recently and it felt to me like everybody in the village treated Hiccups like a loser and a failure in the same way and Hiccups father openly says that he thinks Hiccups is a failure unlike Chicken Littles father that tries to be nice and support his son even though its difficult for him. Nobody seems to have a problem with the way people treated Hiccups in that movie.

Mitch Fletcher People did not ostracize him for not being good at baseball it was because he made everybody panic by saying that something terrible was happening and later it turned out he was trying to say that the sky was falling and that made him look like an idiot. +drcaramel98 To be fair, we have plenty of things in our works of fiction that don't exist in any form in our reality. Ignoring mythical creatures like genies or dragons on the grounds that you could say the myths are the evidence of their existence in our world, you've still got plenty of examples where people create creatures of their own specifically for their stories. The Lorax, Minions, pretty much 90% of the monsters in Monsters Inc.

I'm not excusing this movie, but I felt this was an experimental film, Disney's very first movie going into computer animation which might be why the characters and story are extremely weak. That wasn't the goal of the movie, and we got Meet the Robinsons after this so they did get better.

If I was the director on this, I'd have gotten the rest of the crew stoned as hippies on Woodstock and encouraged them to make this movie so incompetently, with the wrong story, the wrong performances, animation that jumps in and out of the uncanny valley like a bungee jump, the mean spirit so petty and counter-productive that it's hard to take seriously, that it would loop back to being unintentionally humorous.

After growing up and remembering that this movie exists, I was infuriated! One, because of how terrible the movie is, two, because of what it means to me.

In HTTYD the ignorance of the villagers was somewhat understandable and they had some redeeming qualities. They weren't just needlessly cruel. It seems like Zootopia came along as the good 'CGI anthropomorphic animals centered movie' that Disney needed to atone for the shitfest that was Chicken Little. And it really looks like they learned from their mistakes, because Zootopia originally had a much darker and cruel plot than the one we ended up with (apparently, Nick would be the main character, the world would be dominated by prey, and all predators would be forced to wear shock collars that would activate whenever they would feel stronger emotions, to "keep them in line"). They changed it because they realized that it made the town look too bigoted, heartless, and most of all, just plain /unlikable/ from the very start. So much that it would make it hard for the audience to care for our heroes saving it by the end of the film. And guess which other movie had the utterly shitty town filled with cruel unlikable animal people as a major issue? Yup. They learned.

Don't get me wrong, Frozen is a pretty good movie. I don't hate it because it's 3D animated, musical, etc. I hate it because it, like FNAF, immediately becomes a fanbase that is millions strong overnight. But they're not like the Supernatural fanbase or anything, they're the kind that tries their damnest to prove that they are right in everything and that Frozen is to them like the Bible is to Christians. I've had 13 people total in the past 2 months alone try to convert me to their "Frozanism" because according to them, it's the best thing ever written and made. You can't dislike people for what they like but I understand if you think that the fanbase is annoying... and worst of all the sexual content in some fanart ._. @ladymaskmaker66679 жыл бұрын
MHButler I find all the FNAF over-hype a bit more tolerable because: 1, it isn't actually mainstream, unlike Disney, because it's a computer game, and in turn, it's almost exclusively computer gamers/gamer watchers that know about it, thus forming a smaller presence. And 2, it didn't have any songs in it, it didn't have any songs that are more or less "good," but gets played and played and played and gets countless remixes and dubs and spoofs, and then the next thing you know, your shitty school announcement teams are playing their own spoof of it over and over again for some sort of stupid event that not even a quarter of the student population is going to attend even though they already know that the shit's been beaten into the Negaverse already, but for some reason, the student congress thinks that people still like it, and then when you're going grocery shopping one day, you still see a bunch of fucking Frozen decorations even though it's been three years since it came out and it's not even Winter yet. So, yeah, I think the FNAF hype is a bit more bearable.
@V1NCYN1CAL9 жыл бұрын
I think hype is bearable as long it isn't exaggerated. And the good thing about hype is: It goes away. In a few years FNaF will only be remembered by a small quantity of fans and it won't be the young fans (12 year olds or younger). They will move one it's always the same.

I really hate this movie because the characters are so annoying, they don’t like Chicken Little, they bully Chicken Little and they really bothered me especially with Foxy Loxy and her friends, those characters, they really bothered me too much when I was younger and they keep bullying Chicken Little all over again. By the way, I really love your review of the goofy plus terrible movie Chicken Little and By the way, I really hate this movie. If I really want to see a better Disney movie, I rather prefer watching Meet the Robinsons or Dinosaur 2000 because those are way better than the crappy Chicken Little.

Land Before Time 75 I used to watch this a lot as a kid. I related to the bullying lol. There are also heartwarming moments with his dad but yeah, not even his father believes in him at first.

I hated this one as a kid, and never understood why EVERYONE in my class loved it so much. Even back then I saw how cruel it was and was even convinced that the point of it all was to tell kids it's ok to bully people

One thing that wasn't mentioned was the weird-ass camera. It's constantly moving. This may be just me, but it's distracting, especially during action scenes.

You can’t have all of the people act mean towards him right after he screws up. It’s underhanded and forced. It also makes everyone “ turn arounds” seem forced, because they only do it, because they’ll look good, not turn around naturally. A smart writer would have the town hate him from the start and have him and Foxy Loxy neck and neck in baseball, but have foxy be lazy and chicken little be the one who got them high up in the scoreboards. Edit: you can’t make me feel sorry for buck, JUST because he’s nothing like his wife, which is another dirty, emotionally manipulative trick to pull.

There are three and only three reasons why I liked this movie. 1. Bowling for Soup's One Little Slip 2. The plot with the townspeople was actually interesting and I bought it--it was only when it started swerving into Alien Can't Find Its Kid that I tuned out because I thought it was an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT MOVIE. If they had just stuck with the townspeople I wouldn't have been scratching my head or falling asleep. 3. The movie theater ending with Adam West. Why wasn't that the movie?!

Let this fact sink in: This movie’s success at the box office and home video assisted in getting the company to buy Pixar. So Chicken Little may be a bad film, but it was a good moneymaker who’s financial success helped change the company into what it is today.

God, the thing is, you could fix the mean plot with a simple script revision. Start with Buck being a good father trying his best to connect with his very different, panic-ridden son. Make both of them struggle to relate to each other. Make Buck's disbelief of his sons repeated hysteria heartbreaking. Make Buck feel like he is the one failing. You'd have a much stronger narrative.
