Something else worth mentioning here: Eating nothing but bread would be _deadly_ to ducks. Bread is like junk food for birds, only worse. It has little to no nutritional value for them, is addictive, makes them feel full and thus less likely to go looking for real food and more likely to starve to death. Ducks prefer to eat water plants, insects and fish in real life. PSA: Don't feed ducks bread. What you can feed them includes grapes (though you have to cut them in half to prevent choking), cracked corn, barley, oats, birdseed, defrosted (but not necessarily cooked) frozen seeds and/or corn kernels and of course duck feed pellets.

Hey do you guys wanna know another show that was also about ducks? A show called, evidentally, "Sitting Ducks" based on the book by Michael Bedard. The show is about a duck named bill who goes on the average life of a city born duck with his friends, including an alligator (which usually eats ducks) named, Aldo, three slackers named, Edy, Oly, and Wadle, and Bev the cafe manager. The jokes are good for the most part, the voice acting is solid, the animation is decent for computer-generation, and the music is down right catchy. The show has earned a 7.2/10 on IMDB, and even came to be one of my favorite animated shows as a kid. That show got cancelled unfortunetly, so we get to have this show instead! I'm just so glad to know that Satan has had a big influence on the media since 2005, Welcome to the thousand years of darkness, everyone!

Looking back at the Breadwinners review, I'm pretty sure that its popularity will be as short-lived as Fred's. I think I know why Nick did this. A while ago they made a tv series, Making Fiends, based on a somewhat lesser known web series of the same name, or at least no one I've talked to knows about it. Looking at it in screenshots, its minimalist and its the same set up every time, Charolette annoys Vendetta with her cheerfulness and stupidity, Vendetta tries to kill her and fails. Despite it, its very funny simply because of all the ways Vendetta tries, and how Charolette turns her plans on their heads. Nick probably thought they had another thing like it, an undiscovered gem. Well...there's no accounting for taste...or a brain that they've...clearly lost...

I saw this episode a couple years back and I liked it. But that's because back then, I loved any story with a romantic theme. Now, how to fix this episode: Swaysway and Budduche are delivering bread, when something goes terribly wrong. They think it's hopeless, then Jenny Quackles comes along and helps them out of their situation. After that, Swaysway finds he can't stop thinking about her. He soon realizes he's in love with her, but feels that she'll never love him. Then he finds the love loaf, and then feels all his problems have been solved. He and Budduche track Jenny down, and go through many endeavors to try and get her to eat the bread, and a bunch of wacky shenanigans happen as a result. A bunch of ducks eat crumbs of the bread, and the most ridiculous matches are made as a result. Finally, Swaysway gets to the last crumb of bread, and just when he's about to feed it to Jenny, she asks him what he's doing. He confesses the whole thing to her. Jenny says that she could never love anyone who would try to do such a thing to her, and admits that she already has a boyfriend. Swaysway is heartbroken, but he learns his lesson. Then sometime later, he falls in love with another girl duck, and, well, here we go again. It's a bit cliched, I suppose, but anything's better than what the writers went with.

Stock imagery is just a sign of laziness, but in gumball, it is limited to just backgrounds. At least we can tell what most of the characters are supposed to be in Gumball. Nickelodeon doesn't care about ratings, they care if it's marketable enough to earn a profit, and with shit like this, they're earning a profit just by having 1 person liking it. Kids don't give a damn what's thrown in front of their face, if it's enough to keep their ADHD busy for 12 minutes then it's fine for them and their parents. The thing about the realistic issues is that it makes them think, something people seem opposed to nowadays. Shows like Courage and Hey! When I first saw that Breadwinners was going to be a new show, I honestly thought Buhdeuce was a fish at first. I thought his yellow hair was a fin and his beak was orange fish lips. He didn't (and still doesn't) look anything like a duck. Neither does Swaysway, really. Their beaks don't look like beaks, and they have TEETH! Sure, Donald Duck's been drawn with teeth before, but he can get away with it because you can at least tell just by looking (and by his name) that he's a duck.

I'm going to do a bit of a Nostalgia Chick ref here. Parents don't seem to care what crap their kids are watching, and 9/10 times, it's the only thing they'll say, "So what if it's bad?" to. Car seats. You wouldn't hear a parent say, "It's just a car seat, so what if the buckle barely works?" And if you did, then please, for the sake of the child, call someone. Food. Most times, parents won't say, "So what if it's spoiled/terrible for their health? It's just food!" Now, some parents will have no choice but to get something that barely works or is terrible for their kids, generally for financial reasons (and if it's "too much effort", then buddy, you shouldn't be having kids), but they'll still try to avoid it if possible. Cartoons, however, don't seem to get people up in arms. Now, people who say, "They're just cartoons!", here me out, please. Yes, cartoons are for entertainment, but it doesn't have to be mindless. What are all of you fans of? Doctor Who, Dexter, Game of Thrones, what's your poison? Why do you watch them? Do you like the story? Is the humor/storyline/other intelligent? Cool. Now, imagine it all became random stuff and nonsense, with every punch line ending in a fart, and a story revolving around something either so generic or so idiotic that it gave you a headache? Jonathan Wilson Not sure if that was sarcasm or not... Really, Cartoon Network isn't clean, they had to pitch Adventure Time to CN before they finally picked it up for a series. Not to mention they've drawn gender line sin the sand, straight-up saying they won't produce or support a show that appeals to girls and will ONLY make shows that appeal to young boys... Hell, even then, they won't support shows that doesn't appeals to boys in a very specific way, i.e. a dumb comedy. Shows like Thundercats, Genndy Tartakovsky's Sym-Bionic Titan, and the DC Universe shows that aren't Teen Titans, Go! got canceled after one season or just faded out of existence, despite most of them being prime merchandising material.

No, it's not sarcasm. We all know what types of problems Cartoon Network has thanks to Paul Dini's rant, but right now it feels like the network has redeemed itself from that sad, pitiful, dark age of "CN Real". They have better shows that have very well thought-out characters and the occasional smart joke here or there. The gender problem is just how networks/studios work sometimes, it isn't just Cartoon Network that's guilty of this. they try to find the one group of gender that would bring in the most money in merchandising. Young boys are the easiest targets since some of them are easily pleased by dumb humor (it's that certain age where boys like fart & booger jokes and dumb characters.), so they would obviously want more stuff based on that product. They go for what the consumer wants. Supply & Demand..... Some shows are just too expensive to produced. Some networks want to go cheaper and certain action shows (to them) feel like a huge waste of money when you could make something in flash. ("The Tom & Jerry show" is the most resent example, why they could have done it in-house, I will never understand...)

What's funny is that the executive that saw the pilot to breadwinners was watching it with other animators in a bar. Doesn't take that much effort to put two and two together.
