Do you mean the one where the kids wander onto a beach full of land mines? That's not real. It's a parody PSA made by two Australian comedians as part of a very elaborate joke (they even made a fake website for the foundation they claimed the PSA was for). It gets mistaken for genuine by a lot of people because it's so well made (and even the creators don't want to fully admit it to keep the gag going).

I get the Jimmy Hoffa joke. The sign says: "This way to Jimmy Hoffa" basically meaning: "This way to be lost forever" as Hoffa's body was never found. Kind of a dark joke to put in a Christian kid's cartoon. The Dorbee is distracted by the Astroball, escaping death.

What baffles me is that they managed to make the squirrels look fairly decent... yet they stuck with the mutant-peas as the main characters? Why didn't they just create a cast of basic animals, and then use the rest of the budget to give better expressions to one main character? I like this idea, but how many shows about animals are out there already? As much as I hate to say it, the Dorbees are... Rather unique. They sorta look like M&Ms or whatever but you couldn't mistake them from being in much else. It's sort of like how Splatoon was going to be a Mario game but they created new characters because they wanted a new IP.

Okay, that's not fair. By that point, Big Idea had released six other videos prior to the 'Fib from Outer Space'. They had some practice under their belts. However, 'Where's God When I'm S-s-scared!?' was released in 1993 (according to Wikipedia). Yeah, the animation isn't great, but it's honestly way better than 'Dorbees' (even if the second short has some really questionable backgrounds).

Veggie Tales was a big part of my childhood. It's enjoyable for both kids and grown-ups; I know that because my parents used to like watching it with me when I was a kid. For something that initially didn't have a big budget, Veggie Tales sure had a high level of quality to it in animation, writing, music, character design, voice acting, etc. That's why it has lasted so long; thank goodness the original creators are back at Big Idea and giving it a reboot.

This is the epitome of what happens with a small budget and not caring or being inept about your writing. Take away the bad writing and it might have worked since some of the best shows ever, eg Invader Zim and Veggie Tales, have had shit animation. The former was colourful and all but it wasn't very good when it came to fluid motion for the first series.

They seem to miss the point, which was that the Silly Songs were short and simple, basically comic relief in between a more serious story. Rack Shack and Benny had the characters being executed for refusing to bow down to a kid-friendly interpretation of a golden calf, so you throw that in to easy the tension.

Well, the Forgive-O-Matic wasn't too long, it got to the point, and it was even relevant to the moral of the episode (God Wants Me to Forgive Them). At the same time it was a hilarious parody of Ron Popeil infomercials. Silly Songs with Larry was a short bit of comic relief thrown in between the two main segments or as a break in a full episode story. Even though Silly Songs was off topic, it still worked because it wasn't too long and it was actually funny; serving its purpose as comedy relief. Mr. Poe and Yogul? 6 minutes of incoherent nonsense.

Also King of Dreams. I know Joseph isn’t nearly as good as the Prince of Egypt, but I still think it was a lot better than a majority of sequels/prequels, including Disney’s big screen sequels like Frozen 2. I always found the animation pretty good, and despite the soundtrack isn’t nearly as epic as Deliver Us or When You Believe, I still think the prequel’s soundtrack had great songs like You Know Better Than I or Miracle Child. And I also really enjoyed most of Veggie Tales and the movies they made, including the Christmas and Easter movies based on A Christmas Carol (which is ironic considering that was used for the Easter special instead, not Christmas)

This was made in the 90s, there was not much love for comic sans back then. Nothing to cash in on really, it was just a basic font you got with windows 95 and that people thought was not serious enough and argued that it was overused at the time. Same goes for video games; religion can be fine in a video game as long as it's not forcing a message. I loved the Binding of Isaac mostly because it's about killing demons in a dungeon crawler. Dante's Inferno was fine; not great, but pretty enjoyable. Catechumen, Left Behind Eternal Forces and most content from the game company Wisdom Tree, which is the Bible version of Color Dreams, was crap and sometimes was too preachy. Games inspired or based off the Bible can be done right, they just need to focus on being entertaining. For example, I love Devil May Cry and the third game has a Cain and Abel type conflict in it.

Good news: I think I've figured out the reason for the Mr. Poe and Yogel interruption! It's probably supposed to mirror "Silly Songs with Larry" from Veggie Tales, the musical skits in the middle of most episodes. Instead of songs, though, they borrowed the superhero theme from Larryboy. I would actually recommend watching the Mr. Poe and Yogel bit. It's pretty funny IMO.

The first three episodes Veggie Tales did have two stories, though they had the good sense to do them one after the other rather than running both at once and they did a job of keeping both stories on theme. Also while this use the silly bit as a random bit of crazy, Silly Songs with Larry was used as an act break. But again, Veggie Tales was/is made by people that know what they are doing.

I remember this old show called "3, 2, 1, PENGUIN!" and it was a religious show, but it was SO good. (At least, how I remember it.) The animation was great and I really loved the characters. (I'm little scared to revisit it and realize that it's horrible. :'D ) There weren't even that many religious messages in it. Just a 'moral' at the end of each episode which usually came from a passage in the bible. Everything else was just pure cartoony goodness.
