U care about nanami and nobara so their deaths hit hard, nobody would care about Ijichi or inos deaths that y they r alive because them dying would have no meaning. I agree nobara had unexplored potential (maybe that’s why her “death” is ambiguous, I think she will come back and it’ll be a wooooooohhh moment) but nanami was the classic mentor dying and the student gets revenge, besides being likeable and cool idk what else nanami could’ve done story wise considering the power levels of the enemies they’re up against. Plus it’s was a crazy ass all out war arc, I personally would’ve been disappointed if there were no deaths, nanami said he was the “minimum level required” for that arc so it was pretty spelled out there.

Too bad the sad part is that the staffs are being overworked to hell for JJK, from what I've heard this episode was almost went unfinished or is unfinished. Nonetheless they delivered this episode with such godly animations and eargasmic soundtracks and sound effects. All applause to the staffs

The CEO of Mappa is at fault. The animation production for JJK season 2 started after the end of the movie, but that time was instead used to complete Chainsaw Man. CEO of Mappa took on all the big name animanga, leaving animators with shitty wages and making em work 6-7 days a week.
