And another details that was explained in the manga that isn't included in the anime, Chilchuck's race, that is half-foot has a very good sense of hearing. So that's why Chilchuck was send into a trance despite the siren was far from them and as you can see, Laois didn't get affected yet, but he knew it was Siren and immediately countered them by singing.

Yea, this anime does a great job of leaving you off guard, then sudden twists and darkness remind you "Oh, right. There is a reason we need those good food parts and silliness to balance it out."

14:50 There's a very subtle detail hidden in this scene. When Namari is first given the bowl of food, it's almost entirely grey with very little color contrast - this symbolizes her reluctance to try monster-based food. After she tries it and enjoys the taste, the food gets very colourful and much more appetizing. Small details like this are what makes this such an amazing adaptation.

A detail that I noticed that was pretty great that they added was when the frog was trying to eat Chilchuck was that each time it swallowed it closed its eyes. They didn’t have to add it but it’s what real life frogs do to swallow. Because of how they’re made frogs do need to close their eyes to swallow as their eyes help push down the food that sort of real life detail is small and subtle that it should deserve a win I think

As I said in my previous comment I was initially skeptical about having Trigger in charge of such a different anime compared to their usual stuff (even though they did great work on LWA) but really, seeing the condensed fight animation in your videos shows how much they've been... cooking on this one.

I love the detail that Chilchuck and Senshi both felt the healing sickness much more intensely than Laios when his leg was repaired and he just said it was itchy.

It's crazy to think that this is only the end of the first half of the series. Totally feels like the end of season one or something.

For the dwarf hating magic thing, if I'm remembering correctly, Dwarves in most tolkien inspired fantasy settings are VERY anti magic and have beef with the most magical race; being elves. Given Dungeon meshi is inspired by the mangaka's love of Baldur's gate and, by extension, the forgotten realms universe I am inclined to say that that is a racial quirk that carried over into her writing.

We had a few hints here and there that this show was much more than just a ha ha funny cooking show with a monster gimmicky. However, episodes 11 and 12 were the point where that pretense really started to just drop completely. Can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of this season!

When I got to this point, I thought it might end at episode 13, as they had just accomplished their big mission, and only needed to wrap things up. Then I found out this was only the halfway point, and it threw me for a loop.

Would this show be even half as enjoyable if Marcille was anodyne? Is there much better than her angry/happy/surprised reactions? Priceless. I never expected to like this anime, but now I'm chomping at the bit for another season of it! And Animewins nails the moments I like the best?

Kabru's Party survivability problem is the fact they are using PvP builds in a PvE dungeon. 🤔
@notbadrule9883Ай бұрын
Yeah, you guess right. Dwarves really hates magic(maybe not all of them) because they are all very have low tolerance and affinity to magic in this world. The details are written more in the manga and the dungeon meshi adventurer bible, so after you have finished with the whole series one day, please read the manga, as there are so very much whole details that are ommited in the anime, that are in the manga.

May I mention Laios and Falin are both autistic coded characters that presented very well. It's frustrating that everything that makes Falin cute makes Laios seem annoying.
@archiwistykaumk5182Ай бұрын
It's nice to see someone admire Dungeon Menshi for once without constantly admiring Senshi's underpants, shipping Marcile and Laios' sister, and telling everyone that Laiosa is on the autism spectrum. Even the author denied all of this in an interview.
