This is one of the best synth apps in IOS right now. I also purchased the 4 track recording option from within the app. Great for quick song ideas or testing patches before committing them to user memory.

Totally agree with the sentiment. Animoog is easily my favourite iOS synth... The movement & expression you can get with the xy travel is unparalleled in my book! I have many synths on my ipads but I return to it time & time again. Although, having just purchased Auria Pro, the Fab Filter Twin's giving it a serious run for the money!

I have one of these, and I'd love to hook mine up to my midi keyboard. My question is, what is the hardware you have plugged into the iPad? My midi gear has both USB and the 5 pin traditional type connectors. Hoping you can point me in the right direction. Many many thanks!!

For the USB connection you can just use a ' USB to lightning [or camera] adapter ' . For the Midi 5 pin, I use the IRig Pro, [now IRig Pro i/o] device from IK Multimedia .This gives plenty of options . Have a look at their website . Hope this helps , Kieron

Great demo. Have had this app for a while, and did not realize how customizable/flexible it is! Which MIDI controller do you recommend for iOS? The Novation you have in this video?

Great app, but not sure why there's no sequencer.

Maybe you can help me? I just download this app and I was wondering why my midi keyboard sustain pedal does work properly with the sounds? It sustain when I play my first chord but then cancels out and then comes back and then cancels out again. I'm not sure what's going on but I would really like the my pedal to work. Any ideas? Thanks.

It sounds like your pedal is the wrong polarity-there may be a tiny switch on the base or side of the pedal, or the keyboard may have a setting where you can change how the pedal works. Hope that helps!

Best iOS iPhone/ipad app.. but still sound brittle too digitally for my taste.. not 'dirty' analog enough!

What kind of controller are you using?

Hi there-it's a Novation key station...

Dan Baker does your keyboard have the 5 pin midi connections?
@faithmusic96 жыл бұрын
I am trying to find a controller with the old fashion 5 pin connection so I can use it with my setup live. I'm using an iPad 4 with 5 pin midi connectors.
@DanBakerMusic6 жыл бұрын
+Joe Cruz no-mine doesn't have the 5-pin DIN connector. You can get good controllers that do have this, but iOS apps are notoriously fussy with the make of keyboard: I tried M-Audio stuff but no joy-spent a bit more on Novation and its good!

Dan Baker so how are you connecting your midi from your keyboard to your iPad? Cuz I'm using the same software with my iPad 4. But I'm only coming out with the old midi cables. What would I need to make it work with the keyboard that you have? Are there adapters that I can get?
