The Charge 5 now has an equalizer through the JBL app. Now you can turn that bass up even more! The higher bass level is definitely noticeable.

I have 2 Motion Booms and they blow any equally priced Bluetooth speaker out of the water. The thing is you really need to set your own Custom EQ setting. If you don't you're handicapping the Motion Boom.

Great review i always watch and follow your suggestions, i like JBL speakers i have their bigger stereo speakers. But for this competition i will go with Soundcore Motionboom i heard it personally for one of my buddies has it. And because of EQ app it helped it to sound better. Just like the Soundcore RaveNeo i have and partnered it with Soundcore Flare2 ( doing the partycast )they sound so great together (and cheaper together than one JBLXtreme2) which in my opinion better sounding than my JBL Xtreme 2, bass and highs are better.

totally agree not deny a bit, but the issues is JBL is on default and have mentioned clearly that soundcore offer EQ setting and Eq setting for my liking would be different then yours or listeners, users are clearly told that Eq setting are available and access able using app

I love your video the jbl charge came from box and sound very well because when I bought my jbl charge 5 I went on playing my music right away from the box without EQ for almost a week and everyone can hear it and dance to the signature of jbl sound before I downloaded app support, so why can’t we enjoy motion boom without a custom EQ? Honestly if I can I will buy more jbl charge 5 and bb3 bcuz I don’t need any custom EQ to enjoy music on like motion boom

In this video the JBL sounds much cleaner and even a little louder. It's hard to say not hearing in reality, but that's how it sounds in the video. Just better quality of sounds in the video for JBL

You can adjust the eq and make it sound just if good if not better. He was using the basic soundcore eq, not a custom eq. I just put my eq'ed motion boom up against my charge for and it blows it away in clarity and bass.

I have owned the Soundcore for about 1.5 years now and I can say it is great!!! Here in this clip he is not himself... something is wrong! I hesitated to buy a JBL Charge 5 as well, but now I've made up my mind! I will do the test myself which I think Soundcore will win! JBL currently costs 150 Euros and Soundcore is around 100 Euros. Soundcore is the early winner here! I don't agree that the workmanship is of low quality! I like it :) It is convenient to carry outside. The JBL must be carried in a case, purchased separately. Here in this clip I saw that JBL is photographed from the front and Saundcore is slightly curved to the sides. This is where the quality of Sauncore is lost. If you turn it against you and use the Equalizer from the app, JBL has absolutely no chance of defeating this monster!!! Placed under the table at home, the bass will blow it up... placed in front of you... you will fall in love with this unit :) I'll update after I buy the JBL too... in a few days! Edit: JBL: an absolute failure in competition with Anker SoundCore Motion Boom! First of all the video is not real and I couldn't believe the sound of Anker! I've had a party with him and we even had problems with the noise! It doesn't distort the Bass, even at %100. It's different with JBL... With the upgrade, the app has been fixed and it now has an equalizer! Yes, but... The device produces great sound up to %50. Bass and treble are great. But at %60 the bass is weak and at %100 it's non existent and you won't be able to stand in the same room with this thing at %100 sound!!! With Anker, this problem does not exist and I absolutely bet on it!!!!!! I will do a youtube review for you if I have to, but Anker is the absolute winner between these two!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dein Test ist schrott... Jbl Akku fast leer und die Motion Boom braucht eine vernünftige Equalizer Einstellung sonst kommt da nix raus. Habe beide Lautsprecher selber hier zuhause. Du hast deine Hausaufgaben leider nicht gut gemacht. Bei dir hört sich die Motion Boom nicht gut an. In wirklichkeit ist das Teil aber der absolute Hammer.

Nagyon rossz mikrofont használsz haver! Ez a különbség nem releváns! Valamit nagyon elrontasz teszt alatt! (de ez egyébként az összes tesztedre érvényes! )Tessék egyforma körülmények között elvégezni a tesztet! Gondolok ezalatt az ugyanarról a helyről és pozícióból készített tesztről. Én teszteltem a motion boom-ot a charge 4-el és motion boom minden téren legyőzi a jbl-t! A 4-es és az 5-ös között nincs nagyon nagy eltérés. Úgy érzem ezzel a fals teszttel megtéveszted a nézőket!!

@Jeremiah Always make some custom presets with the Android or Apple app. The bass boost can not be enabled in custom presets. Custom presets are the key to amazing sound quality. Only the build in 'voice' preset is nice when listening to talk radio / spoken word. The other presets are crap and bass boost is just not needed because you can make your own better setup with more bass and one with less bass etc etc.

Yep, it’s fun watching these seeing JBL eat every speaker on the market for lunch. I never listen above 55 decibels so guess the bottoming out at 100% volume isn’t a problem unless you’re throwing a big party, at which point I’d recommend a party box.

@@stormrunnercore JBL isnt eating everything since the xtreme 2 and 3 get munched by a vifa helsinki. dont even mention the boombox since that gets utterly annihilated by the vifa copenhagen. and if your going to put up the jbl partybox , they just get clowned by minirig 2.2 setup which is 10 times smaller :)

Reason being: no tweeters. The Motion Boom relies on the driver's to produce the highs aswell as the bass.
