Thank you for this very clear and measured description, it certainly allows me to understand the apparently small injury that has caused me trouble for some time.

Great video! I'm trying to understand the ankles as it relates to the golf swing and I'm not quite clear on its function. For example in the video you're talking about the ankle hinges up and down but in the golf swing it definitely feels like a rotational move or a torque move. Almost like it resists the rotation of the body but also facilitates the rotation of the body. Not sure if that makes sense? I just can't seem to find any clear information on what exactly is happening during a swing I'm just trying to understand the facts of the movement.

Excellent. Just the level of detail I need as a yoga teacher. However, a little vague when it comes to the ligaments in the ankle. And what do the muscles have to do to operate the tendons? Contract, presumably.

My tibia because of compensating while I walked for a number of months feels like it shifted to the left when you’re looking at it from the angle at 0:44 if you pause. My medial maleolus on right ankle is sticking out more. Once I felt shifting I stopped compensating (I initially started because of a clicking in my r big toe) but the shifting continued gradually and hasn’t stopped since. So during this time, about 4 years, I have had soreness in my ankle and no one took it seriously because it didn’t come up on any diagnostic procedures (tendinosis did but not the shifting) but now I’m having numbness/tingling.. even my knee feels like it’s also going out of alignment. Is this possible? What terms can I use to explain it to a doctor while sounding sensible?

There is an apparent error. The posterior Talofibular ligament connects the talus and fibular. Whereas, it showed the connection to calcaneus bone.
