I have missed Barbara Jordan, Molly Ivans and Anne Richards so much in the last four years.

Me too! I would have loved Barbara Jordan for president. She was the best of the women of her time. She was a great speaker, motivator and leader.

We missed Ann Richards' tenure as Texas' Governor as we lived in Louisiana at the time. I'm sorry about that. She and Barbara Jordan are two of my all-time favorites. We need to emulate them daily!

I had the good fortune to meet Ann Richards when she stopped at the shop I worked t and asked to use the ladies room I thought I new who she was but I told myself that it wasn't her She came out and thanked me for staying open as we were in the process of closing up. She introduced herself and shook hands and hugged everyone. I told her I voted for you and she said bless your heart I'm glad somebody did. She was quite a Lady and so was Barbara Jordan who I never had the pleasure of meeting. Thank God Texas gave its best two more times after LBJ. some might disagree but these three gave all they had to so many.

As a young girl, Barbara Jordan compelled my attention with her marvelous voice and her use of language. I have been interested in politics til this day. With every new development, I amuse myself by thinking about what Ms. Jordan would have to say on the matter.

Have you never been to a funeral? It's common for people to share humorous stories about the deceased.
@larrydirtybird5 жыл бұрын
Laughter is a healthy part of a funeral. It is needed and that is why many eulogies include humor about the deceased's personality that others remember and relate to.

Uhh, because it was funny, humorous, and appropriate moment for lighthearted laughter during a time of somber mourning, maybe? Get it? 😕

Because Ann Richards’ last line was spoken in a deliberate and careful way, similar to how Barbara Jordan spoke. The people are laughing because they can hear Ms. Jordan’s voice!
