Born Anna Virginia Taylor in Tokyo, Japan, Anna Domino began her musical career in New York City during the 1980s, immersing herself in the vibrant downtown music scene. She has collaborated with various well known musicians, including Matt Johnson (The The), Tuxedomoon, Virginia Astley, Luc van Acker and Ultramarine.
After a handful of singles and an EP entitled East And West, she released an eponymous debut album in 1986. This single, Summer, was featured.
Domino's subsequent albums, including "This Time" (1987) and "Mysteries of America" (1990), continued to explore diverse musical territories, establishing her as a unique voice in the alternative music landscape. Despite not achieving mainstream commercial success, she has maintained a cult following and is respected for her artistic integrity and experimental approach. More recently, she has released music as part of the alt-folk duo Snakefarm.
