One of the most grossly underrated acting geniuses of all time! Anna was and is our Lucille Ball. She was totally robbed back then for multiple emmys for her role on Amen. She was just as if not funnier than most of the actresses that won best lead actress in a comedy back then.

I think Anna would have been a better Miss Parker in the Friday movie. She has a shapely figure, long legs and plenty of sex appeal. In fact, if I was close to her, I would suggest she dress up like Miss Parker every Friday.

All this time I thought she was just acting as "Thelma" while performing. I see I wrong. She talks like "Thelma" in real life.

Luezette Mallory It seems like there was some emphasis on how she talked as Thelma, but yes there definitely is a similarity in the voice in reality. It’s like Jackee Harry’s real voice sounded similar to Sondra’s on 227 although there was some exaggeration.

Anna Maria Horsford has what us called a distinctive voice. James Earl Jones also has that unique voice. You recognise the voice first then then the person
