Speaking for a friend, self-sabotage is a bit of a vicious cycle because you _don't_ see yourself as deserving good things, but in order to see yourself more positively, you usually need to improve yourself in some way. Like, this "friend" of mine doesn't like the way they look, but instead of working out and eating better, they get this delicious fried chicken every Tuesday for dinner.
@goldfishcrayon
@goldfishcrayon 3 жыл бұрын
It is a vicious cycle. Society is toxic. When we realize our own self worth, it makes things like exercise and eating healthier easier (though NOT easy). Change takes work but people won't be happy unless they are doing it for the right reasons. Self hatred regarding looks/weight (or it being perpetuated by toxic people) is not going to motivate someone to live a healthier life. It usually ends up in an eating disorder that continues messing with the person's mind and well-being. Everyone deserves to be loved and valued regardless of what they have for dinner. Once a person loves themself, taking better care of themself will feel much more achievable.
@urdadsonic1036

how about this... your friend tries to eat healthy for 6 days of the week and eats fried chicken on tuesday. small changes overtime can yield big results :)

2:08 why does this remind me of charmed where Piper and pheobe kept complaining about being the charmed ones and they just want to have normal lives and then when the angel of destiny one day let them choose to have a normal live, they suddenly wanted to stay witches. But right in the next Episode they complained again that they are witches.
