Speaking for a friend, self-sabotage is a bit of a vicious cycle because you _don't_ see yourself as deserving good things, but in order to see yourself more positively, you usually need to improve yourself in some way. Like, this "friend" of mine doesn't like the way they look, but instead of working out and eating better, they get this delicious fried chicken every Tuesday for dinner.
@goldfishcrayon3 жыл бұрын
It is a vicious cycle. Society is toxic. When we realize our own self worth, it makes things like exercise and eating healthier easier (though NOT easy). Change takes work but people won't be happy unless they are doing it for the right reasons. Self hatred regarding looks/weight (or it being perpetuated by toxic people) is not going to motivate someone to live a healthier life. It usually ends up in an eating disorder that continues messing with the person's mind and well-being. Everyone deserves to be loved and valued regardless of what they have for dinner. Once a person loves themself, taking better care of themself will feel much more achievable.
@urdadsonic10363 жыл бұрын
how about this... your friend tries to eat healthy for 6 days of the week and eats fried chicken on tuesday. small changes overtime can yield big results :)
