We litteraly have the same products with the same packaging here in turkey and none of them says "whitening" on it. The nivea hand cream says it repairs the dry skin and comes with the different smells like vanilla or cherry. Also the himalaya lemon face wash says it's made for oily skin and claims to refresh skin and control the oil. I guess it's marketing strategy, brands aiming the different customer needs based on the country and sells litteraly the same products with different titles on it😤

They are often selling stuff that is popular in the country itself. Whitening products are loved in asian countries. I used to use korean bb creams with withening stuff in it, but it is actually only meant to brighten up ur skin, not to make it white.

I was always fine with my tanned skin but one day my neighbour said to my younger sis " you know what , your sister is jealous of your fair skin colour that's why she makes you sit in sun ." Im latina, but my skin is very pale and let me tell you i can not sit in the sun without having to bath myself on sunscreen because if i dont i get burn and it fucking hurts. The sun provide us with vitamin d that is very important so its very important to sun bath about 15 minutes every day. Dont listen to idiots, theres nothing special about light skin, love your dark skin because its beautiful!
