HUNTER TORTURED THIS LITTLE BABY WOLF CUB - Cody Roberts

Wolf Pup Tortured & Killed - This baby wolf pup was massacred in a way that even your worst enemy shouldn’t even be by Hunter Cody Roberts.
Only 1 year old, chased down by a snowmobile, run over and then while injured and crippled, paraded her around a bar called The Green River Bar in Daniel, Wyoming, with her mouth taped shut, in pain and agony, not to mention the fact that wolves are petrified of humans so her cortisol would have been at skyrocket levels.
Afterwards she was taken behind outside, tortured and shot.
This man (not really a man is he?) named Cody Roberts, 42 years old of town Daniel in Wyoming was investigated by a local game warden Adam Hymas and fined a measly $250 for possessing live wildlife. Cody was cited for violating Chapter 10, Importation and Possession of Live Warm-Blooded Wildlife.'
Sadly in Wyoming you can kill wolves, but you cannot be in possession of a live wolf, a law which he broke, but more importantly - he caused unnecessary suffering to the puppy for the sake of bravado and this is not being addressed by Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
Roberts posed with the poor exhausted wolf pup, while cracking a beaming smile, gripping her by the scruff of the neck and raising a can of beer.
The wolf, which was injured when Roberts ran it over with a snowmobile, had her mouth tightly taped shut and cowered like an abused puppy.
Jeanne Ivie-Roberts, a close family member of Roberts who lives in Daniel, re-enacted the strange scene with a wolf skin in the same bar, as if it was amusing.
She posted photos to Facebook of herself with her mouth taped shut, just like the wolf, while holding the skin in front of her.
Ivie-Roberts wrote in another post after Roberts' antis went viral: 'I love and support you Cody'.
Here is Ocean my blue wolfdog and she is only one years old - she is the same age as the puppy that was tortured. This tears my hear out so today we are asking you the public to fight back and ask for more to be done about this case.
Where are the fines for cruelty and torture? With a 250-dollar fine, other hunters won’t care to copy his actions. Cody needs to be made an example in order to stop this happening again, so today, I am gifting you the general public today with some telephone numbers and emails which I will write in the description to this video so you can contact people associated with this case.
I am giving you the contact details for Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Please feel free to voice your concerns to the individuals named in the description below.

Wolves age slower than most dogs. So while the cub was a year old and most understand that is for even most dogs that’s still a puppy, a wolf even at 2 years old is still very much still a puppy. They usually don’t mature until around 3 years old. So this wolf is really still just a baby, defenseless, naïve and innocent.

Apparently Cody put a shock collar on the wolf, and when the wolf became unconscious because of its wounds, Cody would activate the shock collar again and again to bring the wolf back to consciousness so he could torture it over and over. Cody is a coward.

I couldn't watch it all as my heart literally disintergrated upon seeing the first 1.12 of the video. How is this lawful? In my country certain species that are native to my country are protected not just by law but also by our indigenous peoples (Maori). Since the law in the murderers country or state is so laxed, then maybe the indigenous people of that area need to come together, with likeminded people and create new legislation to protect these beautiful creatures. One thing that makes me very angry is that most media outlets don't tell the whole story. cody roberts, while on his snowmobile, chased the wolf pup to exhaustion, and ran over her deliberately. he then taped her mouth, put a tracking collar on her as well as a shock collar--which a witness said he would use to shock the 'beegesus' out of her when she moved, he paraded her around, mocking and torturing her further, then took her behind the bar and murdered her. When I first heard of this, my blood boiled. In the course of a new (REAL) investigation, I hope they confiscate the phones of all responsible, and I'll bet everything I own that this is only the tip of the iceberg --a very big and ugly iceberg. When Justice fails to protect those who need it the most, then it is Justice itself that should be on trial.

I can't imagine the barbarous nature of this incident. But what truly makes it stand out is it highlights the hostile relationship between people and wolves in North America. The hostility is so intense that it had often resulted in cases of mistaken identity. Just recently, a wolf was killed by a hunter in Michigan who thought it was a coyote. This was the first wolf recorded in the state's Lower Peninsula in 100 years. A similar incident happened in British Columbia in 2017 when a Tamaskan Dog was shot dead in front of its owner during a hike. The dog was a certified therapy dog and its life was taken away because of mistaken identity that comes with the ongoing hatred towards wolves. I strongly believe that measurements need to be made to educate the public about wolves and what beneficial roles they play in nature. This especially goes to farmers and ranchers who regard wolves with sheer contempt due to livestock predation. At the same time, they should be provided with and educated on using non-lethal measurements such as deploying livestock guardian dogs to protect their animals. Wolves are NOT the bloodthirsty monsters from the fairytale world. They are apex predators that maintain ecological balance by keeping herbivore numbers in check. And because they are ancestors of domestic dogs, they contributed to the rise of various dog breeds. If it wasn't for the first human-wolf relationship, there wouldn't be any dogs in the world.

I worked across the Rocky Mtns for a long time - met a lot of Wyoming men (never had a woman say it) who told me they are very proud of their policy toward wolves being “shoot, shovel and shut up”. The men who told me this were employees of the telephone company, not ranchers whose livelihood was potentially impacted by a wolf killing livestock. They were simply men who felt the need to kill wolves for whatever reason. One had told me how he tried to kill coyotes and wolves with his snowmobile every chance he gets. It’s a thing in Wyoming (as well as in Idaho and Montana) and I can only hope and pray this incident doesn’t drive that practice further into darkness. It’s a sad situation when a regular citizen feels the need to kill wildlife just because they’ve developed an unnatural hatred for the animal.

Im grateful to the person who reported him but Im truly disappointed in the people that just sat around in that bar. Many people were disturbed by what was happening but nobody was brave enough to stand up for the wolf. I wouldn't care how many people were there to back up Mr. Roberts. I would've made sure he couldn't touch that wolf again. I would've had law enforcement and a veterinarian down to that bar so fast that man's head would spin! My #1 concern would be helping the wolf but you better believe my work wouldn't be done after that. Stay on it everyone! Keep pressuring law enforcement to press serious charges. There are felony charges that can be brought. If you read the criminal code there are actually several things he can be prosecuted for. Just between us, I've heard there is an ongoing investigation now. That's because of people like us who care about animals and stand up to evil.
