I think it's always a good idea to go through the stash, & reacquaint yourself with what you got...I don't know about you, but if I can't see it, I forget very quickly what I've got! I think if you got 2 boxes of yarn stash, that's amazing, & I don't think that's a fail. I renovated my craft room last year, & had to declutter everything. But after 20+ years of collecting for fibrecrafts, sewing & papercrafts...it was hard...really hard. So I know where you're coming from. I probably decluttered 20% of my yarn, but I have heaps more. So I'm now finding ways to hold the yarn double to use up the stash, & in fact, liking the results. I do hope you find your mojo again, just to get some enjoyment & not feel the guilt!

I must say, I do feel a lot better knowing exactly what I have and for the most part, what I'm going to do with it. I so wish I had a craft room; I'm so envious!!! One day our second bedroom (once we clear it! 😅) will be a lovely study/craft room. We just need to get rid of A LOT of stuff. Not so easy when your hubs is a hoarder because he might need something one day. 😅

I SO wish I could have bought the unopened (looking)12 skein pack of the acrylic yarn that you got to make a blanket from 😍! All of the yarn you have in both tubs are beauties! Like you said -there are large hanks and alot of projects in your bins. Just learned of your channel 😁. Happy that the video popped up in my feed.😊

Super fun to see your yarns. I think you need to be gentler with yourself. IMO it was not a fail at all to discover you wanted to keep most of the yarn. It simply means you made some very good choices in your acquisitions. Good job!!!

Maybe you could make a little case for knitting needles and crochet hooks from the purple acrylic? Adding a zipper and lining fabric, and maybe a little pocket to keep love notes in?
