In my Hotmail account, I had an email from Anne Rice. It was short but you could tell it was from Anne and that blew me away (as you can probably tell from the fact that it was a Hotmail account, this was around 2002 or 2003). I kept it for years. Then when I lost my Hotmail account, I lost that email which is something I still lament. And when Anne set up her facebook account and she was posting every day, it became a wonderful way to connect with her and with her work. It makes me happy that Chris is continuing to post on that page so now it's become a page where Chris carries on the legacy of his incredible mother and all of us, The People of the Page, continue to engage as we do our best to help him carry on Anne's legacy. 💜💜💜

Vittorio the vampire is a vastly underrated Rice book, it's so gothic and dark, it would make a wonderful, scary movie!

Anne, I'm from Brazil and your books need another edition like right now. Your books aren't in the librarys anymore, what is a shame, because everybody who likes vampires and dark fantasy should read your amazing books! Love you!

So glad to hear this. After all these years, every new book is a challenge for me too. I have to make myself start. Once the book is rolling, however, everything is okay.

Hi Anne. Thanks for sharing! Just spotted your channel. Here in Scotland I’m a research historian and collector of exceptionally rare gothic work by the likes of Ann Radcliffe, John Polidori, Percy Shelley and Mary Shelley where safe to say you continue their legacy in leading the field of naturally gifted contemporary writers. The next major landmark on the gothic literary calendar will be happening next year with 2021 marking the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley first being attributed as the author of Frankenstein with this being a landmark in the history of ‘gothic feminism’ which changed the world! First published in 1818 Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein bears the presence of genius but no mention of the author with the book having been published anonymously. It wasn’t until three years later that Mary Shelley was first attributed as the author of Frankenstein with publication of the second overall edition published in Paris in July 1821. It’s quite something to read her famous line about vampires in the original French translation of Frankenstein which is one of only six copies known to survive! I’m currently completing an extremely exciting research project into the origins and history of the 1821 Frankenstein hopefully with a new book project and exhibitions on both sides of the Atlantic to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley coming out from the shadows! I know you’re extremely busy but if you have anytime available next year it would be great to have you on board! I’ve no email details for you but fingers crossed this reaches you. Kind regards and stay safe. John Dundee. Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I asked Anna a long time ago to do an audii book with her reading it. Her reply to me was "No one wants to hear me read my work. There are so many better people with better voices" Im glad to hear she is finally working on it. I wouldnt buy one of her audio books unless it was read by her. I can now buy them.

I like those who reject me and accept me... I've been refused by the Atlantic but published by Cherry Hill in San Fran. I put all my stuff like a blanket... on Cherry Hill accepted... I've been rejected by most... I could wallpaper my walls with the rejections but that one time accepted is wonderful.

Hello Anne I have a personal question for you. Do you think that in our day and age there are still people who are gifted with extraordinary abilities and who are on a search for the truth of the meaning of Life ? Do you think it is possible to find such a Thing I mean the metaphysical answers and the implications of those answers. By the way I love your books keep on the good work ! Jawad Khelil

A Season in Hell Arthur Rimbaud, 1854 - 1891 A while back, if I remember right, my life was one long party where all hearts were open wide, where all wines kept flowing. One night, I sat Beauty down on my lap.-And I found her galling.-And I roughed her up. I armed myself against justice. I ran away. O witches, O misery, O hatred, my treasure’s been turned over to you! I managed to make every trace of human hope vanish from my mind. I pounced on every joy like a ferocious animal eager to strangle it. I called for executioners so that, while dying, I could bite the butts of their rifles. I called for plagues to choke me with sand, with blood. Bad luck was my god. I stretched out in the muck. I dried myself in the air of crime. And I played tricks on insanity. And Spring brought me the frightening laugh of the idiot. So, just recently, when I found myself on the brink of the final squawk! it dawned on me to look again for the key to that ancient party where I might find my appetite once more. Charity is that key.-This inspiration proves I was dreaming! “You’ll always be a hyena etc. . . ," yells the devil, who’d crowned me with such pretty poppies. “Deserve death with all your appetites, your selfishness, and all the capital sins!” Ah! I’ve been through too much:-But, sweet Satan, I beg of you, a less blazing eye! and while waiting for the new little cowardly gestures yet to come, since you like an absence of descriptive or didactic skills in a writer, let me rip out these few ghastly pages from my notebook of the damned.

I Love the Relationship between Lestat and Louis, some told me there just friends and a Love/Hate relationship but in all seriousness Lestat de Lioncourt is Bisexual and that is Actractive I was shocked to know about Lestat having a mortal kid, witch remind me a bit of Stephanie Meyers books, but your always the Best writer, just wondering bout what you tweeted about a Possible Marriage of Lestat and Louis getting married idk I just have to bring that up, Lestat and Louis are my Favorite pairing ever since IWTV movie version Actracted me to it. I hope to see this with Lestat and Louis ❤

OMG marriage would be such a mortal thing for these two characters to do. Is is not enough that they love each other in a timeless, passionate way? I personally don't see the characters being gay, bi, or straight. Intimacy has no gender specific limitations for these beings. In my opinion anyway.

Anne, forgive me, I insulted you on purpose because you insulted me on my knowledge of the Bible. Regarding Titus... I know you answer all by your hand.... look up the word peculiar and book of Titus. You told me I was wrong and no passage/quote exists. The original text in the email is that I wrote I like peculiar people the most. You have forsaken me by my insult to you with of no regard how you insulted me. Gordon
