Happy Father's Day to all fathers, godfathers and father figures out there! 💗💗💗 On this special day, we have a simple yet delicious dish to share... Salt & Pepper Prawns 🦐🦐🦐 This is a popular dish which is usually served in Chinese restaurants. As we are a family of shell eaters, we love the crispy, salty and edible shells of these prawns. The tender prawn flesh inside is just the bonus which comes with the shells! We hope all of you (especially the fathers) watching this video will enjoy this recipe as much as we do. It is easy to make, with few ingredients.
SALT & PEPPER PRAWNS
Ingredients:
Sea Prawns 800g (35-45g per prawn)
If you enjoy eating the shells, get smaller prawns weighing 30-35g. These will have softer shells which will be easier and more enjoyable to eat. Larger prawns are great for those who don't eat the shells at all, and prefer just to enjoy the flesh of the prawns
Marinade:
1 Egg White
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp White Pepper Powder
1 tsp Chinese Cooking Wine (Optional)
Dry ingredients for Dredging:
6 tbsp Tapioca Flour
2 tbsp Corn Flour
1/4 tsp White Pepper powder
1/4 tsp Five Spice Powder
Garnish:
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Chopped Spring Onions
1 tbsp Chopped Chilli Padi (Optional)
