Naomie Harris deserves everything for her work in Moonlight. One of the rawest performances of the year.

Jamel Smith totally agree man. Idk why, but her performance stayed with me long after i left the movie theater. Idk if this will make sense, but her performance was disturbing, beautiful, and haunting in a sense. I couldn't get her out of my head.

I have not watched 20th century women (which I am ready to experience), but Moonlight? Holy smokes, Naomie Harris stole the scene. Her last scene was just... breathtaking. I cried and cried when she unraveled her love and asked to not be loved back, to be heard, after being such a bad mother. God, I am crying as I type this.

well. these little art forms have been excellent. av seen a number and ad love to know the secret in the recipe. really great pairings which are in themselves an art. ad always wanted to see what actors have to say about what they do. this pulls the very best ones of our generation together and they are right there,. thanks! this particular one speaks true of a subject of knowing and nor knowing even those closest to you. the 1992 movie A river runs Through It really featured that..

Viola is campaigning in the supporting actress category.
@backto-il9ne7 жыл бұрын
I hope so but they might give me it to Amy Adams for Arrival or Emma Stone. They love to award young "it" girls. But I am really hoping Annette takes it home. LONG LONG OVERDUE.
@backto-il9ne7 жыл бұрын
John Kent No major critic is betting on Portman to win. Her movie has not even cracked the most crucial best films lists that year signaling that its support is not across aboard. When you factor that into the fact that she is also a recent Oscar winner, she does not stand a chance. There is no overdue factor for Natalie Portman. No one is in a rush to give her another Oscar so soon. Amy Adams has the overdue factor and her movie was a big hit and Emma Stone has the ingenue "it' girl thing the Academy loves so much and her movie is loved across the board which can translate to more votes. This is why Amy and Emma are Annette's biggest threats.
@backto-il9ne7 жыл бұрын
John Kent I would disagree with your Hilary Swank comparison because Swank was able to beat Bening again because Million Dollar Baby was an all around contender (best picture, best director, best supporting actor etc.). It had support across the board and that helped Swank. Jackie is looking like a best actress only contender. Emma Stone and Amy Adams have better odds because their movies will have support across the board.
