I quite enjoyed the Royal Silk business lounge. The plant walls made for semi-private spaces, yet I could still people watch - one of my favorite things to do at an airport.

The business class part of the lounge is very good☺️ but first class lounge didn’t feel like a true first class lounge

it all looked gorgeous! Except one detail: the cushions on your seat were presented quit shabby. They looked not fluffed up with sloppy corners. They could also use different pillow cases, more elegant ones, that contrast with the rather dull color of the yellow seats.

I think Thai airways has the best seats, service and food. I fly business class between LHR and BKK twice a year on Thai Airways and always enjoy my flights. First class looks nice but would prefer a door to my seat for that price.

Excellent review. I have always been a fan of TG first class, but missed the exclusive checkin and the Royal First Class Lounge and Spa. I will be surprised if TG is still offering first class a year from now.

Nice review. I flew LHR - BKK in F and loved the in-flight service. It was one of the best imho. But yes as you pointed out, the first class lounge service in BKK wasn't anything special. The food could be better.

Thanks for the review, useful and well done. I think how highly I would rate it depends on what I paid for it. Thai appear to me (from the UK) to be overcharging for what they offer compared to Eva or BA or indirect flights with gulf carriers.

Very nice. One thing would annoy me - no choice of starter on the plane. Surely it's no brainer in long haul first to have at least 3 choices each for starter, main and pudding? Dunno, but it would put me off.

For me the lounge and plane look a bit dated. Maybe it's because I am not too keen on the colour scheme. The food service looked very good. The seat also very good and the staff service very attentive. The IFE looked pretty poor though.

I've only flown their Business, it's not very good and I'm thai. I hope their First is much better. From LAX I think the best way to spend rewards points are always going to be either ANA or Singapore.
