I think the issue there is that, unlike the newer MG SEED line, they couldn't reuse the frames since each 00 suit is so different. While I would no doubt love it, given the recent lack of MG kits I doubt that's an investment that Bandai would see as worthwhile.

I wonder if the RX-78-2 with all the opening hatches was in fact the prototype for the Perfect Grade Unleashed kit. That sat in Bandai's development hell until last year. It might not have even been called PG Unleashed at the time. But Bandai dusted it off and made the full kit. Just a thought though. Probably not the case. But I can't help but think that.

The PG at 5:19 seems to be the RX-78-2 PG Unleashed prototype. I think they were planning on releasing it but a last minute problem popped up before the mass production began so it was cancelled. Still, looks pretty cool and pretty glad the PG unleashed has a similar internal opening as this one.

October 2019 here. We got our MG F90. It's a P Bandai as well as all its packs. We also got our MG Dynames which is extremely popular and has received good reviews. It uses the "GN frame", meaning more may be to come.

Because of course it does GM sniper 2 is now an MG Barzam has an HG Leo now has an HG Penelope and Xi now have HG kits Thats all folks. Hopefully another update w more stuff comes along

The maddest I ever got at Bandai was actually with a Robot Damashii. Bandai showed off a figure for the Jegan ECOAS Type in 2015, which included parts to display it as Conroy’s Jegan. No news of it since. The Gunpla of the ECOAS Type is fine and all, but this was before I had gotten into Gunpla.

I'm a new model kit collector. I was a fan of Seed and Seed Destiny series due to the cool designs, animation and OST. I tried finding a Master Grade Akatsuki Gundam but realised Bandai didn't release it at all. The only option was a Dragon Momoko kit which reviews say, certain joints were very loose. Any experienced people here can guess if there might be a future release? Or is there no hope for this gundam?

I remember seeing images of a 1/144 RTX-440 Guntank Heavy Assault Type in a display case, can't remember if it was a bandai prototype or someone's MOC but if the former then we got cucked out of another good EFGF gunpla. Just looked it up it appears to be a Bandai EX line prototype that was painted up for display. A damn shame considering our lack of guntanks overall. There was also some EX line Land Battleships that never saw production as well, Dabude, Heavy Fork, and Big Tray

The HG Kyrios shown there is only using the GN Hand Missile equipment. That was released as part of the HG Astraea F kit, so you could technically already make it. And I think from 00 as a whole, while I don't think we saw prototypes, it was kind of clear from the movie that we should have gotten HG GN-XIV as well as HG Seravee II.

At 0:58 the Zaku Tank, honestly, is the only kit I'd would want the most to see released from the whole video. However, I would prefer it to be released as either an HGUC or Gundam the Origin (MSD) release since it would be out of place as a Master Grade. Also, I would like all 3 Real Grade kits shown at 6:00 would great as well, but really, the Gouf has a revive kit, the Ground GM has a brand new HGUC 2017 kit, and the Ground Gundam could see a future HGUC release. =P

That was back in the day when they showed an F90 prototype those years ago. Then came P-Bandai's money grubbing antics when they overhauled the F90 into a new design and got it and its various Mission Packs as an exclusive release. One of those days, the rest of these kits shown in the video should be overhauled and released someday. Apparently, the Blue and Green Frames are also released really late into 2019, though the Green Frame is a 7-Eleven Exclusive. How is it that a convenience store chain (at least for Japanese stores) is able to sell a Perfect Grade as one of their exclusives? This is new to me. Opening panels in an RX-78-2? They foreshadowed Gunpla Link a decade early. MS Hangars are mass-produced by Bandai a year ago and can be used in almost any scale. Seriously.

Also, yeah, Gunpla Link is supposed to be applied to the RX-78-2, hence why if Gunpla Link is mentioned, it has to have some extra applications modern PGs do like opening panels or slots for the Perfect Gundam armor.

I still hope we get the Leo sometime. And not properly announced, but Build Fighters had the Tallgeese called "the new model", and the series takes place in 1/144 scale almost exclusively. I took that to mean they were at least entertaining a HGAC Tallgeese or RG, or gauging interest. I'd think it was the anime maybe just taking artistic license, but I find that unlikely given the toy commercial element of the series.

What annoys me is not Bandai cancelling kits that they planned but really not making kits for certain gundams that even existed. One such is the Gundam AGE-1 Swordia which looked pretty cool but there were no kits made for the knight and if some one wanted one, then it had to be custom-made. However, Bandai releases kits for Gundams that don't even exist in any timelines and most of the time remained as an idea or simulation in their respective times like the RX-78 FA Gundam and PLAN303E Deep Striker. At least announcing they were going to make a kit off the gundam before cancelling or not releasing it at all at least meant they gave it a thought before tossing the idea away.

What a sad note for the F90 series to go out on. I never watched/read any of it but some of the designs are neat.

Well we’re getting all of the other 00 kits we have dynamos and kyrios is coming plus they are way better than that old exia. We got the f90. We got the HG Gouf, HG Leo, HG Efreet, MG jegan but I would definitely like a a RG Ground type Gundam and GM

*see this after 4 years and MG F90 is now on the market and the other kits that eventually got released...* Chilling... You should do a redux of this kind of video, since many of the mentioned kits here have been now released.
