Great racing Dave, watched a few of these and thanks to you had a go with this combo yesterday - it is a blast to drive, more fun in 1 lap than 40 minutes in GT3 tanks. Will be doing more this season.

Hi Dave, love the 1600's great fun. Question for you, are you still using triple 27" monitors? I want to make the transition from my 50" single screen to triple 27's but im afraid its going to look too small... do you get used to it? obviously I would have the triples nearer so hopefully that will fill my FOV.

Great video! I only just started iracing 2 days ago, with formula ford being my favorite car! May I ask, how did you make sour race engineer talk so much and give you all these infos? Mine is pretty calm compared, would love to get him to do a bit more haha

Welcome to iRacing 😁 It's a third party program called Crew chief. Just remember to disable the iracing spotter in the sound options after installing crew chief 👍

You got to stay in the draft at all cost. it's always faster you keep getting afraid and poking your nose out of the draft to defend when they can't do anything if you're in the draft.

Dave is just doing what the AI do. Anything more than 0.3 behind the car in front then they move offline to defend instead of keeping the draft. Then they get caught out on the inside by having to go slower around the corner and losing even more time with no chance to catch back up. Try it out with all cars the same and the drivers all with the exact same ratings.

Thank you Jose! Yes I'm using a foot clutch but only on the upshifts. This car has a dogbox so only need to blip on the downshifts 😁

@@davecamyt whhaaat! I have this pain on my right foot from heel toe-ing for nothing! It was seriously why I took breaks from this car to recoup from the pain. It made me start looking for some racing footwear instead of socks lol. Got any affiliates that sell footwear?

@@davecamyt I just raced my 1st one today. I went from all time fastest of 1.18.1 to 17.2 in quali and once I got the hang of how much more I can brake with the downshift blips I was able to get a 1.16.8 in one race!! I’ll need to watch you every new track for the season. 😂

Davey, may i ask, i use racelabs for my hud. Do you know why the temps of tires dont change and tire damage is intermittent. Appreciate any advice mate 👍

Dont think iracing updates those values until you pit so racelab can't give you that info

You'll only get tyre data once you enter the pits for the more basic cars. In the GT3s, F1, etc. they will have sensors providing live data.
