Daughter of the Forest is one of my favorite books! It is really beautiful. Also it is kind of a stand-alone, so you don't need to read the others to finish the story.

Monstress is extremely hard to follow but worth it.. it took me two reads and a really descriptive review to figure out what exactly was going on in the first volume but now I’m enjoying the series so so much. The reread revealed an alarming amount of information I missed the first time around and I’m convinced a third read would reveal even more- the story is just like that- but its very well-crafted and the art is next level. I totally recommend the series but wouldn’t dive in until you’re prepared to give it your full attention!
