I like the effect that the chain adds to the front of the new Porter. I like the new engineer and the additions to the coal load. Nice job, Dave.

Amazed by the fine detail possible with the laser, and the etching technique to raise those rivets is spectacularly subtle.
@pbyfr Жыл бұрын
The result is very similar to brass, the main surface being in both case a bit rough. I wonder if the other method for brass work also with a laser: marking the rivets on the back side, and put them off manually.
@AzraelThanatos Жыл бұрын
If you want to reduce charring on the surface when laser etching/cutting, put a layer of masking or painters tape over the top surface of it. Learned that trick a long while ago. You don't need to do it if you're etching glass though unless you want to paint and fill in the etching, and be careful using it with something like leather because there can be some issues. I wonder if you could use some transparent resin prints of passengers for the touring cars, perhaps a bit of a glow in the dark paint brushed over them to have ghostly passengers sitting there

Once again your attention to detail delights and amazes. "If the engineer is headless, he can't steer the train... for his head is where he keeps both his eyes and is brain." I love all of your Gruesome Gulch builds!😊

I'm kind of just impressed that you even managed to find a DCC and sound Porter, I've been searching for those for months, no idea why Bachmann won't do another production run of them.

Excellent work as usual. What surprises do you have coming for passengers ? Could do some cotton ghosts and some skeletons. Maybe a body hanging by a noose swinging from the last car or being dragged.

👍👍Dave another fantastic loco for the GGRR! Very nice added touches really adds to the loco, the tender is absolutely gruesome. I think I'll not be getting a ticket for the URDoomed...🚂🚂

I love the Porters. I guess the next thing is passengers? Any thought to adding an eerie glow inside the cabs to allow us to see the figures in the cabs better?

Just amazing work. I need a lazer and 3d printer. Would it be possible to add a light to the inside of the Cab? That might make the cab pop a little and show off the figure and the window detail.

QUESTION: When useing CA glue, you always have a long tip on the bottle. Would you discuss the use of those tips? Where you get them and how often do you need to change them or maintain them? If you have answered this in a video already, please point me in the correct direction. I hate buying those little tube, use them once or twice then throw them away as the harden on me. Thanks

You can tell that you are having a lot of fun with this, though the extent of your gruesome glee is a little disturbing. What's nex? Only thing missing that I can see is a few passengers for the observation cars. Gruesome or otherwise.
