Each guy has to get out of the way and cannit impede the opponent. If he blocks him or blocks his arm then its a " let". Play point over.

Not true, if you prevent the opponent's swing then it's Stroke to the impeded player. Then there are clauses about 'sufficient effort' to clear and whether the impeded player would have played a winner if not for the interference. There's a lot more to it than just playing a Let.@@kennylevitt1050

If you add topspin then it climbs on the walls and the bounce is higher so easier for the opponent. At least, this is my guess (I play padel).

We do add spin it is just not as visable as in tennis,but just as effective

Low kill drives (known as Stun Drives) will utilise backspin to help stop the ball from rising off the front wall. Drop shots can benefit from backspin to ensure the ball bounces close to the front wall. But typically spin in squash doesn't do much, the vast majority of players shouldn't be thinking about spin. It's very much an advanced tweak to technique to slightly improve certain types of shot.

Yes, topspin is rarely desirable as it just makes the shot harder while offering little or no benefit. Backspin is used on certain shots (drops and stun drives) to help the ball bounce further up the court. Unlike tennis and table tennis spin doesn't significantly affect the flight path of the ball. The main time I see the effect of spin is with skid boasts, but in that case it's the walls which are applying running spin which then becomes check spin on the opposite side wall. Played well the ball can come off parallel to the back wall and be virtually impossible to return. @@m.l.5067

The top players are good enough to not hit the ball at their opponent and if there is any risk of doing so they will always stop and ask for a let because they will nearly always be awarded a Stroke and win the point. The better the players, the less likely to be hit. Beginners and improvers should always wear it IMHO, since they do not have the situational awareness to not play dangerous shots nor the control to send the ball where they intend. For children it's a legal requirement in the UK. Some club players do wear it especially if playing less experienced players. Problem is it tends to steam up so people get frustrated and give up.
