The betrayal of Sheperd was epic, but I never understood why exactly Sheperd betrayed us. He was winning a battle and he decided to kill Ghost and Roach (his own soldiers) who completed their mission.

Handsome Jack's end just made me sad. He was funny through the majority of the game, and while he used questionable tactics... the funny part is that he really was the hero of the story, even though he was corrupted by his vision. He wanted to get rid of all of the crime, all of the despotism, he wanted a better life for everyone -- he just took the wrong route to do it. I viewed it as putting him out of his misery. Had to be done, but it was a shame.

I was going to comment on that and say Adria should have definitely been on the list. I was very satisfied when I killed her in the expansion. Also Arcturus Mengsk from StarCraft II was another one I thought should be on this list.

I agree. I believe I will not exaggerate if I will say, that a lot of gamers wanted to kill Adria for what she has done. Not only she betrayed her own daughter, Leah, and a whole humanity in the process, but also, if you read Adria's journals in in RoS expansion, you will learn that she knew of Leah's ultimate purpose to become Diablo's host, before Leah was even born, and Adria was more than happy with it. How evil a person must be, to do something like that to his/her own child?
