The little emblem just means it was designed by in-house Kershaw designers. Then manufactured in China.

The blade tip looks like a safety issue when the knife is fold.

I thought so too but no problems so far. I’ve even tried to see if my finger would hit it rubbing against it but nope. I’m sure if you have stuff in your pocket in with it also I might be able to get snagged on it
