Just stop eating sugar! It really doesn't take long to lose the taste for it. I used the carnivore diet to help break my sugar addiction because you can eat as much as you like and I like meat. Have done so well on it, I am sticking with it. Have no inkling now for sweet anything, nor alcohol, and am beginning to lose weight even when eating until I'm full. I don't feel hungry at all some days so I might only have one meal at night. Am 72, female and in good health. Hope this helps someone out there. 😊

What you don't understand is that with the proper human way of eating (a carnivore diet) you change your metabolism and you no longer desire 'the things you love'. If you stick to a carnivore diet for six months, you no longer want sugar, carb laden, or processed food.
@The-Real-aPOC2 күн бұрын
What a load of ignorant garbage. Diets fail because people like you have no discipline and view eating as a form of entertainment or something to make you feel good. Eating has one purpose, to nourish your body and that is how it should be viewed. The reason you love certain things and don't want to give them up is because you are addicted to them. "Offering an alternative way to eat something is a better solution"??? Really? Cyanide is toxic to humans, would you consume it if someone gave you an "alternate" way to consume it?

Right way to eat sugary foods 3:02 1. Eat sweets with protein 2. Eat sweets with healthy fats(=nuts,seeds,olive oil,avacado etc) 3. Eat sweets during lunch,never eat sweets at night. 4. Do some body movements (@15min) after you consume sweets. 5. Only Stevia & monk fruits safe as an alternative to sugar. 5. Portion control for sweet foods. 6:45 Practical Applications Eat peanut butter,almond butter with cake Eat 1 ts of soaked chia seeds before your dessert if you are eating dessert on its own.

That’s exactly what I do, I eat my dessert post dinner, maybe half of some sweet meat or an ice cream or maybe half of a pastry. A small bar of dark chocolate post lunch, and less than 100ml of fruit juice post breakfast. I eat dessert after every meal, but in tiny quantities 😜 I can’t live without dessert..

That's because sugar is a drug and you have an addiction to it. Switch to carnivore and eat how humans are supposed to eat and after a while you will no longer crave dessert.

Will this work when eating carbs as well since they also get absorbed as glucose?
@doremifasola94165 күн бұрын
A good doctor discourages patients from eating sugar which is a junk food that nobody needs. A good doctor explains to patients that a small amount of sugary snack is never enough and even a small amount of sugar encourages cravings. Sugar is never healthy and there are cardiologists who say that sugar is the cause of CVD and studies have shown that sugar feeds cancer cells. Sugary snacks are easy to avoid once people are encouraged to eat filling healthy foods such as animal protein and eggs. Sweet snacks should be eaten as a treat only for special occasions and then only if they don't start a sugar craving. Eating sugar with fat and protein doesn't stop it circulating around the body and doing harm.
@AWAW-z8r3 күн бұрын
The current science says that as long as you avoid insulin spikes, sugar intake is not harming your body. "Good Doctor' is a very subjective term. We had 'good doctors' pre-1950s, before we had an obesity epidemic and all of the other metabolic epidemics. And they didn't forbid sugar intake. This was before HFC and all of the artificial sweeteners. They just had good old fashioned honey and cane sugar. This was before ultra-processing of all of these foods. This was before the low-fat craze. This was when P.E. and physical activity was the norm for most people, before the television and remote controls had such a chunk of our lives. We have to stop a moment and think logically and reasonably about these things. I'm not telling you to eat sugar but just because you have found avoiding sugar easy with protein and eggs, doesn't mean that's the case for everyone else. This approach of controlling blood sugar works for some people. Moderation works for some people.
@aliciar89782 күн бұрын
A good doctor understands the psychology of food and understands the sugar addiction that billions have and are not willing to give up no matter what. Good doctor gives tips to those people who he knows that no matter how much discouraging and education he gives his patients people are not going to give up the sugar, and isn't it better that they provide patients with some tips not to have high spike blood sugar.
@The-Real-aPOCКүн бұрын
@@aliciar8978 That's a very naive and quite frankly lazy way to look at it. A good doctor would identify why an individual patient is unwilling to change a behavior they know is self-destructive and formulate a plan to combat that hinderance. None of us were born with a sugar addiction, it is something we developed, and as such can be overcome, carnivore is one of the best treatments for sugar addiction. All addictions can be treated and a good doctor would work until the correct one is found.

Curious: I understand that protein and fiber can slow the absorption of sugar. An insulin spike is different from constantly elevated insulin levels. Wouldn't it be better to have the sugar insulin spike than to prolong the absorption of sugar, which can cause insulin resistance? Also insulin causes fat storage, wouldn't it be better to eliminate the sugar insulin quickly so less fat is stored? 🤔

Wheat is worse than sugar. The inflammation level it causes is insane. Beef and lamb meat is antiinflammatory. I had to do a lion diet for 2 and a half months in order to keep the inflammation away. It went away in just two weeks. I was bed ridden for 8 years before, I had no idea the muscle, joint pain, brain fog, headaches and migraines, ibs and incontinence that I was experiencing were caused by wheat.
@MexicoDigDoctor2 күн бұрын
@veronical3135 Oh boy, do I feel your pain! I was bed ridden for the better part of 5 years. Among other things, I have scoliosis and have had fibromyalgia for probably 30 years now since it was diagnosed. I blamed all my pain on that, until one day it got so bad that I finally had to go to the doctor (because mostly I just take care of myself at home). Much to my shock and chagrin, I learned that, at 66 years old, and probably many years before now, I have IBS, gluten intolerance, and I'm hideously lactose intolerant!!! I was raised on milk and dairy products, and because I almost never have an appetite due to the pain, I was drinking a liter of milk a day PLUS eating butter, cheese, spreadable cream, etc.!! I simply couldn't believe it, and it was very hard for me to accept it. But my doctor made me go through a lot of trial and error, and it was extremely obvious that what he told me was absolutely true! I live in Mexico, so our traditional foods are full of things that I shouldn't be eating, especially things like salsas that are far too spicy, beans, and plenty more. I also found that I am not tolerating eggs very well so that basically leaves me with about 2 things under the sun that I can eat, lol! But I am doing so much better now that I am figuring all of this out and changing my diet so radically. I sincerely had thought that I was going to end up an invalid quite soon. I have lost a lot of muscle tone but I am starting small and quick exercises to begin to get it back. I am very thankful that you and I have been blessed to find out that the majority of our health problems have been caused by something that is fairly easily manageable, and that we don't have some incurable disease! I pray that you continue to get better and stay well! Then go out and live life to the fullest!! 🤗🇲🇽
