The New Ansonia Clock Co. of Lynnwood Washington. Not too far from where I live. Family operation began in 1969, until the mid 2000s. They also had 3 A House Of Clocks stores in my local area, the last of which, and the original store, closed about 4 years ago now. Did quite a bit of business with them over the years. Nice people.

I do believe they were still around till 2005, because I’ve seen some late 90’s early 2000’s quartz clocks being manufactured by Ansonia.

Nowadays the quarter hour sequence and hour strike on tuned set of bells are entirely recorded and programmed in electronic circuit board of sound chips connected to speaker and installed in some quartz clocks so that those quartz clocks electronically imitates the same clock. Citizen, Seiko and Rhythm are the most well known brands to manufacture such quartz clocks. Those three are also well known brands for manufacturing the quartz clocks that electronically reproduces the tune played by music-box or barrel organ mechanism at the hour with showing dancing moments of animated figures and flashing lights. Such quartz clocks play melodies with showing such dancing moments but they do not chime nor strike the number of hours.
