the hobby talk part has me in tears - shouldn't have watched this while PMSing 😭😂 i danced for almost 20 years of my life and realise now that it was my most beloved hobby. i was devastated to have to stop and once i'm back in a position where i can, i am 100% starting Zumba!! i've honestly been looking into it for about 2 years but now is the time to put the excuses down and start. thank you, Emma and Monika! 💖😘

This is exactly the type of video I've been searching for. Thank you!! I have the same goals as you. Of course I want to look slimmer, but most importantly I want to be strong. My muscle strength is literally non exsistant and I've been working on it for a month now. This is a video I really needed to push it further

I looove weight training/lifting so much! I'm so glad that I've found something that I enjoy doing for daily exercise! It's so true that you need to find a form of exercise that you find fun and enjoy, because then you will keep up with it and see the results you want!

One way I combined my DIY nature with my belief in sustainability with my focus on health was to say that I felt best about eating something only as frequently as I was willing to make it myself. I realized that I love fried chicken, but I don’t have it that often because I hate frying chicken and making my entire kitchen dirty. It also makes me appreciate it more when I do eat it!

Your journey has been an inspiration to watch. I battle with being to thin, thanks to a chronic GI disease, but my 18 yr old daughter struggles with her weight. I totally agree about loving what you do, so you look forward to it and don’t dread it. Consistency is very important. Keep doing you!!!

Enjoying the speficic type of exercise is so important. I used to take ballroom dance classes and I've always been fond of dancing which is why I started dance workouts at home to get back in shape. Knowing that I can move my body in a way that I enjoy while listening to music that I like makes it so much better and I even look forward to the workouts most days. But I will probably start with weights as well, I want to get stronger and not just skinny, just as you said!

Also what you said about your space in the gym is as valuable as everyone else's made me tear up a little. Yesterday I was talking to my boyfriend about getting a gym membership with him and then I realised I'm so scared about what other people would think if I go to the gym without a plan, not being fit etc. So thank you for that!
@kaelaburgess50054 жыл бұрын
I just want to say, I'm not very active on KZbin at all, but I just found you yesterday and I've watched a few of your videos and you are so inspiring to say the least. I see so much of myself in you, especially with hating running, not knowing too many exercises, but especially with being invested in something and then one day waking up and quitting. I've never met anyone like that before and I thought for a long time I was the only one who did that, or something must be wrong with me! I did that with ballet as a kid and it continued through every dance class I took as I got older and I could never understand it. Today, I'm 29 years young, and find myself wondering why it's so hard for me to stay motivated and finish a fitness program start-finish but your videos give me so much encouragement and are something I look forward to watching! So, thank you for being you and putting out this beautiful content! xo from the States, Kaela

Such an inspiration. I've been working on my fitness and overall health since December, and I'm seeing some real results. I agree with all of your advice, and can guarantee they are the key to a healthier, happier life. The struggle for me is just the fear that it could all go away again one day. I know that it may come, but as long as you push yourself to keep at it and, like you say, find something you love (for me, ice skating/rollerblading and yoga ❤️), you can find your way back again. It's ok to stumble and lose your way a bit, before picking it up and getting back it at. Great video love x

I’m currently going to the gym either 2 or 3 times a week. I’m enjoying the gym and have just started doing a Zumba class. However, my downfall is food. I’ve tried so many times and there’s been times I’ve lost weight but I always go back to binge eating and putting it all back on. I just don’t know how to change my mindset on it 😕

Try looking up intuitive eating and google Rhitrition! For me, it's extremely helpful as I have an unhealthy relationship with food and don't want to push myself so it allows me to listen to my body's needs while also making an effort to be healthier. Also, flexetarianism (spelling?) is great (at leat fo rme) cos it means I eat more consciously and plant-inspired without pushing myself to lengths I know I'm unlikely to follow for too long 😊
@kyrat60793 жыл бұрын
Maybe trying to slowly change your diet will help with that, dont cut out the things you enjoy but try and make your overall diet healthier bit by bit and still allow yourself to eat some of those foods you crave. Ive been trying to eat more veggies but im still allowing myself to eat foods like pizza or cookies. Veggies are less calorie dense so you can eat more and not feel super hungry. Also ive heard cutting your calories way down can make it harder to stop binging bc your body needs that energy. Good luck i believe in you!!

If you join a gym, make sure it's a place you feel welcome. I'm not saying all gyms are like this but definitely this specific gym where I live the trainers are all very off-putting, unreliable, so TRANSPARENT that all they care for is the money, and are actually rude when you speak to them, including the trainers. Make sure you invest in a place where you feel you have support around you.

Anna BL Same, I made my mind up to keep going gym. No ones going because of this virus. But my gym is still open and I’m still going regularly. The gym is literally almost empty, so I’m not concerned. How am I going to contract the virus and spread it if no ones even there 🤷♀️. Getting fit all 2020! 🤪
