This was very helpful. We’re currently waiting for approval by the court for adoption, it feels like forever.

Hello! I’ve watched several of your videos over the last couple of weeks & just subscribed, idk why I hadn’t before! My husband and I are in Texas and in the process of being approved to foster to adopt. Thank you for this video and others, you’ve been a great help and great encouragement ❤

Oh my goodness, thank you so much for sharing about the situation in China! Seeing as your channel is not at all about international adoption, I was not expecting that, but it honestly made my day to hear one of my favorite KZbinrs share about something that's so close to my heart. So kind of you, thank you!

Are you allowed to have a babysitter during the day (not overnight) or does anyone who watches your foster children need to be respite certified. Would they be allowed to go to a friends house or would the friends parents need to be certified as well.
@adoptinformed3 ай бұрын
@@LizKrause great questions! I know this can vary state to state. With our agency, anyone who watched our kids while they were still in foster care had to be fingerprinted. This meant even friends parents. If we were present, the people there didn’t have to be fingerprinted.

We were lied about all the kid profile, ask everything dont trust all the said. Some kids can be dangerous with serious mental disearse and only love will not cure that.

Would you mind to share some websites that you dont always hear about that have waiting children?

@@rachelmeadows8112 that’s a great idea! I’m going to add that to my video ideas :)

What is your experience with adopting from foster care out of your home state?
@adoptinformedАй бұрын
@@ljom23 we had a good experience! Our kids were within our state, but all lived about 3 hours away. We were able to do quite a few visits before they moved in which was nice!
