Nice content love it 🔥 Btw for everybody, the Track mode does reduce the tcs and stabilty intervention like 75% off ish. It will not affect power or mapping The left one (button with traction logo) is one press for off till 30mph , but with full stability Hold it 5 sec and it will be off 95% with abs active. In my 2014 Pedal dance is a (cheats codes) to defeat 100% but the new one apparently does not have. Can't wait for the Gr86, i like the look better. Little update Cam, I was going to get the 86 and for the same reason as you with the markups, all around Nevada they’re marking it up by at least 5k. I live in Las Vegas and the Subaru here fortunately is NOT marking up the BRZ. I was there for about an hour after a phone call to get everything situated and gave them a deposit and now have a 22 BRZ coming up in February-March!

I’m really enjoying your down to earth style. I’m about 3 months behind you with a feb delivery date on a sapphire limited. This will be a 50 year reversion with me! I’m 73 and my vehicles have revolved around American iron mostly. My last hot cars were a 64 falcon sprint with a wicked 351 and a little 92 prelude with some serious suspension for playing in the hills around here in NorCal. And I’m holding on to my lifted 4x4 500hp/ 980 tq Cummins 24 valve. But I have never forgotten my first drive (s) in an aluminum bodied Austin Healy 100/6. Guess I’m about to relive that….only with technology that is 70 years advanced. Can’t wait to see your choices…I’ll be watching…I’ll need a good exhaust that is reasonably quiet for a later supercharger and I’m interested to see how you do your wheels. I’ve seen quite a few good drivers say this car nears perfection as constituted, and that it would be easy to screw up the handling /ride without some serious consideration given to equipment that has been proven. I look forward to hearing your well reasoned choices. My car will see Sonoma raceway…I took a driving class there for a few days with the prelude..that car loved the auto cross course! I will never track build the way you plan to but I see Koni’s and lowering springs in my future. Can’t wait to see how you handle this young bro. Wildman

Coming from 10th gen CTR, I like my new BRZ more. Less heat issues while lapping and the lighter weight feels great. It needs better brakes and wider wheels/tires but those are easy mods. When the CTR gets hot it pulls power. This makes improving your driving skill in a car that constantly changes power a pain in the ass. Just my opinion, I like consistency lap after lap.
@bobbybooshay58542 жыл бұрын
Interesting comment Dan. Can you tell me how you find the brz vs the ctr as a daily driver? Also, what are the widest tyres that can go onto the brz?
@NahBra_EUC2 жыл бұрын
@@bobbybooshay5854 Hey Bobby. I think they are about equal for DD, maybe slight advantage to the CTR. The BRZ averages 24 mpg and the CTR was averaging 25. You obviously gain a lot more space in the back for people or things in the CTR. One thing that always stands out in my memory is the cheap design of the front and rear bumpers of the CTR. The only two things I hate about the BRZ are the center armrest and the no space anywhere for a cell phone issue. They are pretty minimal issues overall. I think the CTR is a better Mon-Fri car and the BRZ makes me happier on the weekends when I go driving off into the canyons. They are both equally comfy inside imo. The seats are kinda similar. If you take kids with you on your weekend drives or even DD business I would go CTR, if not I would go BRZ.
@bobbybooshay58542 жыл бұрын
@@NahBra_EUC Thanks for the reply Bud. I had a CTR last year, sold it for a mkv supra (3.0l). Looking to get rid of the supra and was thinking of replacing it with the new 86. The supra has power and the performance is great but the car has no soul. It's numb, like most modern German cars. There's very little driver engagement
@NahBra_EUC2 жыл бұрын
@@bobbybooshay5854 I totally understand what you are saying! The CTR has a bit too much of that numb feeling for me as well. The BRZ/86 feels like a return to the older days with some of that magic modern framework. In the CTR I was constantly looking for mods that would bring more raw feel out of it and never got to the place I wanted it to be. The BRZ feels raw from factory. I might swap mounts someday, but it's fine without them. I am running the HKS SP coils that were made for the first gen and they are amazing for both street and track use.
@bobbybooshay58542 жыл бұрын
@@NahBra_EUC 100% about the ctr, it's so close to being perfect but it definitely lacks that raw feeling. I also got tired of the fact that it was front wheel drive. A lot of wheel hop in 1st gear if you didn't modulate the throttle properly. Hopefully the new 86 is the one 😅

installing sound deadening mats on door sheet metals and door panels may help the brz's road noise issue. and since u mentioned the sound system of this car sucks, it will definitely improve sound quality when u upgrade your speakers later on. i have installed sound deadening mats on all 4 doors in my CTR and my car feels more refined and upscaled. the extra weight of the mats (5 -10lbs) is well worth it imo. it took me 45 to 60 mins to install each door since there are a lot of hard to reach spots, but it was not crazy hard to do. u may consider adding those =)

You can turn as hard as you want into turns with the first generation BRZ's without issue with traction control on. If you overwhelm the available grip the traction control will kick in and you will not spin out. Drive it as hard as you want around turns within reason and it is impossible to spin out. I also have a 2021 Type R and I saw on your previous videos you almost lost control on a few turns by taking them so fast, the BRZ set-up is completely different and safer around turns. I have gone balls to the wall around turns and if you overwhelm the available grip, the car cuts power to the wheels and stops you in your tracks. It is basically like cheating but an extremely effective tool to see your cars limits without the consequences. Disclaimer: Make sure the traction control is on and you are in normal mode before attempting people , otherwise if you do not know how to drift you will end up in a ditch.

Ive been looking to buy the GR86 or BRZ but i dont know which one to get. Apparently theres a slight suspension difference between the two. Should Ijust buy the one thats cheaper?
