Re: sunscreen, when I was younger I used an expired sunscreen and ended up getting super burnt to the point of blistering. I was skiing in Australia and my nose literally blistered every time I went into the sun (also in aus) for the next 2 years. Using expired sunscreen is basically like putting oil on your face as it doesn't polarise anymore so yeah... check your expiration dates and don't be me!!
@prplppltr5 жыл бұрын
Sofyeah totally! If you’re in Australia as well we have stricter testing for sunscreens and a lot of the American and Asian products have to have their SPF rebranded eg Murad went from 40+ and in australia they had to be relabelled to 15+
@Jess-jc2wx5 жыл бұрын
I can’t find the expiration date on my sunscreens! :(
@Sof935 жыл бұрын
@@Jess-jc2wx it's often imprinted at the very top of the tube (where the seam is) or on the bottom of the bottle if you have the pump style. Otherwise maybe look for the jar icon but as far as I've seen (Aussie tho) there's usually a date rather than an open period.

I would love a series where you go through the different skin types and show what morning and night routines would look like. And in those routines, what products you’d use for certain concerns and what order you’d use products. As someone uses trying to get into having a skincare routine, the hardest part has been trying to figure out how to add products in the routine that’ll be beneficial and how to combine products together.

For people looking for an affordable vitamin c: I know Susan tried one of the ordinary vitamin cs and found it far too potent and irritating. I totally get that but that was >20% and even described by the ordinary as very potent. I use the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% and love it! Not too potent, a nice thin consistency, but I've still had great results! I've had a lot of compliments on my skin since I've started using it. Also obviously very affordable.

Kendra Elsie The kiddos don’t need much. Stick with fragrance free body wash/shampoo, fragrance free lotion, and then just the extra essentials when needed like diaper rash cream. I always have something like aquaphor in case they get some type of rash on their face or body. And of course sunscreen once approved by your pediatrician. The skin on babies and toddlers is more delicate, so they’re more susceptible to irritation. The “natural” products with essential oils can be more harmful than good unfortunately.

Also, I love the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Vitamin C Serum. Right now I only use it in the morning. Can I use it at night as well if I'm using Retinol? And can I use The Oridnary's Glycolic Acid Toner with the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Vitamin C Serum and Retinol? I am trying to figure out my routine. My main concern is hyperpigmentation and keeping my skin glowing. Here are my current routines... Morning: Cleanser (Typically the Neutrogena Clear Pore cleanser or Grapefruit cleanser), Glycolic Acid toner, Buffet, L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Vitamin C Serum, The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG, and Olay Regenerist Whip Face Moisturizer SPF 25. Night: Cleanser, Buffet, The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG, and LilyAna Naturals Retinol. I hope I'm not using anything incorrectly!

To fully get the best results, you have to use moisturizer and a sunscreen on its own. Using a product that contains sunscreen (spf) will just give you a minimal amount of protection.
