OMGoodness! We hit a million subscribers and I still can’t believe it! Thank you guys for all of your support. I wouldn’t be me without you! We’re starting to shoot new videos and even planning our January calendar (what?!), so let me know if there are video topics you want me to address. Also, I’m just getting back in the swing of things and honestly, I’m a little tired (hello sleepless nights with a newborn!), so I’ll get to comments as soon as I can. I love all of you so much! ❤️

Yesss! Including the Jan Marini C-Esta Serum (there’s an oil-control version too that I love) and maybe the C E Freulic mixtures since I’ve heard Vitamins C, E, & Freulic boost your sunscreens efficacy by 8 times

the skinceuticals CE ferulic says it cant be washed or rubbed off for 72 hours, so if i use it every morning, does this mean i cant use glycolic acid at night since glycolic acid and vitamin c shouldnt be used together?

Can Mixed Makeup PLEASE get one of those UV cameras to test how effective these SPF powders and setting sprays are? Because I am really skeptical they are offering real protection, but I would love to be proven wrong. And also show us how effective regular mineral/chemical sunscreens are after 2 hours, 6hours, 12hours of wear? This would be really informative!!

Re: sunscreen, when I was younger I used an expired sunscreen and ended up getting super burnt to the point of blistering. I was skiing in Australia and my nose literally blistered every time I went into the sun (also in aus) for the next 2 years. Using expired sunscreen is basically like putting oil on your face as it doesn't polarise anymore so yeah... check your expiration dates and don't be me!!
@prplppltr
@prplppltr 5 жыл бұрын
Sofyeah totally! If you’re in Australia as well we have stricter testing for sunscreens and a lot of the American and Asian products have to have their SPF rebranded eg Murad went from 40+ and in australia they had to be relabelled to 15+

@@Jess-jc2wx it's often imprinted at the very top of the tube (where the seam is) or on the bottom of the bottle if you have the pump style. Otherwise maybe look for the jar icon but as far as I've seen (Aussie tho) there's usually a date rather than an open period.

I would love a series where you go through the different skin types and show what morning and night routines would look like. And in those routines, what products you’d use for certain concerns and what order you’d use products. As someone uses trying to get into having a skincare routine, the hardest part has been trying to figure out how to add products in the routine that’ll be beneficial and how to combine products together.

For people looking for an affordable vitamin c: I know Susan tried one of the ordinary vitamin cs and found it far too potent and irritating. I totally get that but that was >20% and even described by the ordinary as very potent. I use the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% and love it! Not too potent, a nice thin consistency, but I've still had great results! I've had a lot of compliments on my skin since I've started using it. Also obviously very affordable.

I only found this channel a few weeks ago and I’ve become obsessed - I haven’t been able to stop watching the videos! The question I have that I haven’t seen answered yet, is how/where to incorporate a weekly face mask into the skin routine that I do every day. I love using the Volition Detoxifying Silt Gelee Mask. If I use the mask in the morning, should I use my regular AHA toner first or skip that step? If I use the mask at night, should I follow with my regular retinol serum or skip that step?

Kendra Elsie The kiddos don’t need much. Stick with fragrance free body wash/shampoo, fragrance free lotion, and then just the extra essentials when needed like diaper rash cream. I always have something like aquaphor in case they get some type of rash on their face or body. And of course sunscreen once approved by your pediatrician. The skin on babies and toddlers is more delicate, so they’re more susceptible to irritation. The “natural” products with essential oils can be more harmful than good unfortunately.

And can I use The Oridnary's Glycolic Acid Toner with the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Vitamin C Serum and Retinol? I am trying to figure out my routine. My main concern is hyperpigmentation and keeping my skin glowing. Here are my current routines... Morning: Cleanser (Typically the Neutrogena Clear Pore cleanser or Grapefruit cleanser), Glycolic Acid toner, Buffet, L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Vitamin C Serum, The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG, and Olay Regenerist Whip Face Moisturizer SPF 25. Night: Cleanser, Buffet, The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG, and LilyAna Naturals Retinol. I hope I'm not using anything incorrectly!

Ashley Rogers Quick answer time the vitamin c and the retinol. Yes you can use both if your skin can handle it. Meaning as long as you don’t get irritation. Try it out slowly. If you can tolerate it, you will see even bigger gains in skin repair. 👍

What did you think of the TruSkin Vitamin C serum that you showed on your Amazon Video? I'm liking it so far although I'm not seeing any HUGE difference in brightness, I'm seeing improvements overall which miiiight just be from the other ingredients?!

Can you do a video on chemical exfoliants for super sensitive skin? Would be really helpful coz I’m so scared of these chemicals! And afraid that if i chose the wrong one it would irritate me badly

Hi Susan!!! Congrats. Have you ever heard of Maelove? I use their Vit C serum called Glow Maker with Vitamins C, E, Ferulic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid. It is in the US & it's about less than $30 for 1 oz.

Hi Susan! I listened to what you said regarding unstable vitamin Cs and I was wondering if the same goes for vitamin c in a powder form like The Ordinary or The Good Molecules vit c powder option? Since I heard that they’re the most stable forms since they’re not in liquid forms. I’d like to know your thoughts.

To fully get the best results, you have to use moisturizer and a sunscreen on its own. Using a product that contains sunscreen (spf) will just give you a minimal amount of protection.
