Ant-Man and the Wasp is Marvel’s first film to come out after the insanity that was Avengers: Infinity War just a few months ago. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena and Michael Douglas provide us with some pretty hilarious moments and action scenes in this sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man… just don’t think about it too much. The quantum realm is the latest plot tool that Marvel is throwing our way after the magical Vibranium in Black Panther and the millions of timelines in Infinity War. How did this movie come to be exactly? Step inside the pitch meeting that started it all. It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience.

I really couldn't be happier that I'm the kind of person who misses details left and right, because unless a movie is particularly trash, I can watch it in its entirety and enjoy it without all that shit people get upset about. It's perfect for the MCU, or at least most MCU movies and shows. Couldn't do it with She Hulk. That show was too awful to ignore its faults. It was kind of okay at first, but went downhill so fast and that ending was the *worst.*

they should just do training scenes, show off abilities, let characters have room to fail cuz its not life or death wich raises the steaks when it actually is cuz its established that they can loose, and if you have 2 good guys practice fighting eachother that can factor into all sorts of character dynamics, its not groundbreaking on its own but it does deal with the faceless army of weak ass villains problem

I definitely agree with your point about needing more emotional weight. It's something you even mentioned in the Quantumania PM, that our main characters not only get transferred to another dimension which was previously shown to be inescapable but also go up against a villain who is formidable enough to kill Thor, yet every single one of our heroes escape unscathed. It doesn't make sense for there to be no immediate consequences (Kang is a long term consequence). While things can be explained away (they can escape because they know more than they used to about the dimension, etc) it doesn't make sense that the entirety of the Pym family escapes alive and that Cassie is more or less the same person coming out of the film. The reason Infinity War hit so hard was because we saw our heroes lose. We need more of that moving forward

I'm enjoying these videos. Ryan, I think youve been doing these long enough and have perfected the format to a point that it doesnt seem like so self-serving to do videos like this. A lot of your fans are genuinely interested in the behind the scenes stuff and your whole process. Im interested in hearing more about how you are able to put these scripts together so quickly and efficiently. How many times to you need to watch a movie (especially one still in theater) before you get everything you need? Do you have kind of a formula or pattern to look out for when watching a movie and building your jokes? It seems like you have a very good knowledge of film making and story telling. Do you have any background in literature or film making? Thanks!

You and Eric Voss from New Rockstars are my fav youtubers. These revisiting clips are great, and i like hearing your behind the camera comments. “It was super easy, barely an inconvenience” is in my conversations at time, and people know who im referencing. You are known. But you’ve also changed the way I see the plots of movies, even new movies to me. Is that weird to you, to know you are changing the way people see plots of movies on their own?

Hello Ryan! How many times do you usually have to watch a film to come up with your final pitch meeting skit? I’m impressed at how fast you are sometimes to release them given that the film was just released and ‘only’ accessible in cinemas. Also, when will we get the Mummy trilogy or even Titanic? Been watching you for years now and loving it all!

Hello, Ryan! I have a small request if you don't mind. I'd love future episodes of this Pitch Meeting Revisited series to shine more light onto the Pitch Meetings themselves, like previous episodes of this series! Some of the things I really love about the fact you're revisiting these old episodes are your insights/behind-the-scenes details on its production/inception and your current perspective about the flow of the video itself. Which jokes you'd change, which ones you're most proud of etc. Watching you look back and give us little tidbits on how you've grown as a comedian and content creator is honestly more interesting and engaging than the movies themselves! Love your stuff, man. Wish you all the best!

Hi Ryan. I am very very tired today. Your videos are great so thank you for all the hard work you put into them. I do have a question this time: when you record the characters, if you've already done some for one character do you listen to it as you go or just go off a script and then see how it all sounds when you put it together? I'm curious because your timing with yourself is so perfect in these it legitimately sounds like listening to 2 different people have a conversation.

Hey Ryan ! Love your work ! It's hilarious and absurd ! And thanks for sharing the process... I have always wanted to ask about it ! I have been wondering for years... How is one pitch meeting produced ? How is it made from A to Z ? What does screen rant ask ? How many times do you watch the movie ? Do you take notes ? How much time you need to write ? Edit ? Act and direct ? Really the nitty gritty behind the scenes stuff. Thank you so much !

I'm a big fan of these revisited videos, can't get enough hearing about the creative process and your passion behind it. Two questions, 1. Will you do a Walking Dead Pt. 2 pitch meeting? The later seasons need a Producer Guy commentary. 2. How to you go about getting permission to show clips of these movies in your videos? I would love to do more movie review videos but the copywrite claims make me nervous, is it hard logistically, does Screen Rant take care of it? FYI, Those last two questions don't count when I said I have 2 questions because they were part of the last question. Thanks again for making us laugh, looking forward to the next video.

Hey Ryan I was curious if when you worked with screen rant did you have someone on their team edit the video and help you write lines and now you're doing everything yourself or have you always done all of it yourself? Love these videos! Ryan is basically KZbin Midas; everything he touches turns to gold (play button plaques)... But I'd be remiss if I didn't ask a question, so here goes: Do you have a movie that you'd like to do a pitch meeting for, but thought maybe it wasn't popular enough and no one would get any of the references? (Because... I really want you to do Varsity Blues if I'm being honest.)

Next thing should be a pitch meeting of this new “revisited” series in which you make fun of low effort milking of old content. Don’t get me wrong, you have totally earned it (those now hundreds of pitch meetings are obviously very high quality/effort) and have won a place in our hearts therefore so thank you for that! But it is kind of funny how at this point we your audience will collectively gladly swallow anything you produce. Keep it coming! :D
