Actually there is some interesting development history, according to current series director Shinya Kumazaki via Miiverse, both Kirby Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot were being developed within around the same time scale - and that elements focused on Triple Deluxe like motion controls were limited in Planet Robobot in order to keep the two titles from feeling the same, considering they run on the exact same engine and share many assets (Models, textures, etc.)

Ever notice how Kirby Final Bosses in general tend to be either sad, controlled or just creepy? You have the likes of Magalor and Marx who just use you for power, which winds up contorting them into their "Soul" forms of madness, you have Haltmann and Sectonia who became warped by outside influences to the point they forgot the reason of their ambition and only the craving for their end goal is left, then you got Dark Matter and Zero... inexplicable inclusion of blood and ghostly possession (that also warps Dedede's body enough to make his stomach a mouth. Let that sink in a bit) and even mutilation via eyeball tearing out of its bloodied body. I think it's mostly to contrast the happy-go-lucky feel of the rest of the games, which are bright, colorful, and really might not be taken too seriously just due to the cuteness. So when you have stories of tragedy or visuals of horror, it's a stark difference that breaks the mold of cheeriness and you see beyond what you've known, there is darkness around. But you must rise over it so the dream land doesn't dissolve into nightmares that darkness brings. You would THINK that such a concept would make Kirby a more resolved defender of Pop Star. But... Given that Dedede has turned from being an all-out jerk to a hero-when-he-wants-to-be (when he's not being a Boss), he's at least begun to see the light. MetaKnight doesn't attack you anymore, as he seems to have gotten a level of trust with Kirby, it feels like the only one who stays oblivious to the message of the adventures is... Kirby himself. While it's nice these things don't get to him in a way that ruins his character... they don't get to him at all. Is he so happy with his own view of things he just doesn't care? Or is he just so dense, it doesn't sink in? Child-like innocence is something dear to Kirby's character, but even a child remembers the experiences of something big. Dedede and MetaKnight have changed and for the better. But Kirby doesn't seem to get it. He fights back because he can. but he normally doesn't act unless whatever's happening effects him personally. He charged into Dedede's place over a piece of stolen cake! If that hadn't happened, would Kirby have even run into the Squeak Squad, let alone take them down? Then who'd stop Dark Nebula? ... Probably MetaKnight and thinking on it now, that would be pretty awesome. I dunno, an alternate reason could be, he's seen Zero and Zero-2 and the bloody horrors they were, things he faces now are so tame by comparison, they just don't bother him 'cause he's had worse. xD; If you look at the older games, Kirby's SEEN some things, man.

Kirby Triple Deluxe definitely passes Saturo Iwata's mantra for the Kirby series, that anyone can pick it up, play it, and have fun. I never needed a manual or a walkthrough to understand how to play the game. I will admit that I consulted a walkthrough for some of the sun stones, but it was only a couple or a few per level, and after looking them up in the walkthrough, I thought to myself "Oh, duh, if I would explored more on a second run through of the level, I would have found them." I did consult the manual to see if I could understand the story. It wasn't until literally the last stage of the last level that I saw any text. The rest of the game you had to pick up story through pictures and animations. Alas, though, the Kirby series is not known for deep story. The lack of text reaches out to a wider audience, especially young children. Not only is Kirby Triple Deluxe the best looking Kirby game for handhelds, the game well implements the 3D by jumping back and forth between foreground and background. The game also utilizes the tilting ability of the 3DS. I personally think it found a good balance: Not too much, not too little. Overall, good gameplay mechanics. I hope to see a lot of them return in Planet Robobot.

I'm sorry but on the wiki (both wikipedia and the Kirby wiki) I do not see anywhere that this is a main game (it's even under the spin-off category) But i can point out that this is the last "classic" Kirby game because of the new title style (the same used as the anime) and the overall Kirby design. Maybe Mass attack is canonical but it is still a spin off because it doesn't play like the rest of the serie

Admittedly, I wasn't too fond of this game when I played it. Very few of the levels stood out to me, personally, aside from the awesome circus levels, and the Hypernova just felt samey every time I used them. It was a pretty boring power trip, while there were at least five Ultra Abilities. That said, Robobot's Super Form outshines both Ultra Abilities _and_ Hypernova.

I only played to the second world in Planet Robobot. Triple Deluxe kept me intrigued all the way through.

TopHatLucario dude you did the reverse of me. I actually did a let's play of Robobot, the Robobot I feel is a much more fleshed out mechanic than the previous power ups, plus when you get the wheel Robobot or the Mike Robobot the game is loads of fun.

TopHatLucario FINALLY SOMEONE THATS LIKE MEEEE Most of the soundtrack was very forgettable and the story was not so interesting to me. I 100% Triple Deluxe since I was so much in love with everything in the game but stopped playing Robobot after the Meta knightmare. I didn't care at all to 100% the game.

You have to do the True Arena for the hellspawn final boss, Sectonia literally rips her own head off to try and kill you. (If you have trouble getting there just use Archer, it’s hiding ability is broken)

I actually bought a copy of this yesterday and I'm absolutely loving it. Nightmare in Dreamland was the last Kirby game I played so I was absolutely thrilled to find a cheap copy at Game Stop. Its so pretty and the Hypernova sections are a blast.

I was saying this to a few of my buddies earlier today, but I may as well say it here: One of my favorite things about your content is that you find a way to get me excited about games I otherwise have no interest in whatsoever. I have very little interest in Kirby, or Kingdom Hearts, and yet anytime I watch one of your videos on either, I think to myself "god, I should buy this game." Of course, then I look at my backlog and I'm like...yeah that's not the best idea, I'll never get around to it. But it's the thought that matters!

Ant if u see this remember that there is a hidden backstory to both the final boss again you just have to look Amat the descriptions of both the final boss and third boss in the true arena or for the third one the extra hard mode there's a HUGE plot twist with those things put together
