Using the most of what space you have is such an underappreciated art in Cases outside of some semi-custom SFF stuff. My favourite for that is the Inwin 301. Pretty much a full mATX tower with good airflow when configured right, that's smaller than most mITX cases these days. But Inwin is a hit or miss brand. Antec was my brand back in the 2000s, when they were hands down the best most modern cases.. and they are starting to look really good again.

Intel designed the CPU loading mechanism poorly for LGA 1700 resulting in less than ideal contact between the CPU and the cooler. A CPU contact frame could resolve some temperature issues if you're brave enough to install it.
@POLARTTYRTM Жыл бұрын
@@itsJPhere The problem starts where a multi billion dollar company along with board partners somehow, couldn't come up with a thermal solution and instead, pass the risks that come with it to the consumers voiding their warranty just so that their PC won't fry when a $10 or less frame solves the issue but you also void warranty. It's unbelievably stupid.

It's not like they lack space or it costs too much, cost is pretty much negligible... 4x USB-A 3.2gen1 (10gbps), 2x USB-C 3.2gen2 (20gbps) would go a loooong way. Instead they've decided on a temperature display panel that can't even display two things at once x)

You want the front and bottom fans pulling air into the case and top and rear exhausting. I believe these fans are all normal and yes on the bottom if the pretty side is up they will be pulling air out of the case. But, there are fans now that are reversed.........but not cheap.

I honestly think everyone should use Intel's turbo velocity boost for these chips. On my 13700k I had originally been shooting for an all core 5.4Ghz OC and was having so much trouble reigning in a good voltage. I'm now using TVB to boost my P cores to 5.6Ghz in lighter loads while having my E cores locked at 4.3Ghz. In all-core workloads like cinebench it settles to 5.4Ggz on the P cores and the E cores at 4.3Ghz. Temps are in the low 90s at these settings with a 360 aio.

100% honest, every build I mock up on part picker is Lian Li and I can't say that has changed. I would be lying. Because I started researching way before I planned to build, I did get distracted and spent a bit of time looking at the Thermaltake AH200 because they had a pink option that I dreamed up a 'peppermint battle angel' build with. As well as a green one that I dreamed up a 'Peepo soldier' build with but in the end the AH200 was very much a last gen case and the number of GPU's that will fit in it are very limited. I also looked at the Hyte Y40 but there is no clear information in the descriptions, how many fans you get and how many more you will need for a Y40. In the end, it always ended up back to what Lian Li are in stock. This Antec certainly checks all the boxes. Keep the RBG, I don't give a rats ass about cable management and it looks elegant. Lian Li checks all those boxes as well. It's a tough market.
