Please don't buy this, the software rarely works. RME Fireface 802 is a similar interface with software that actually works.

Does the conversion only happen once you route the line in to a digital input (DAW) or your DAW to an analog output? For example, can I take a signal from my preamps, route it to a compressor and back, then to an EQ and back, all without any conversion, and then send it to my DAW? Or would conversion happen at every stage?

How to activate phantom power 48v ?
@AntelopeAudio2 жыл бұрын
Hello Orion32+ doesn't have phantom power because it doesn't have preamps. Antelope Team

Where can I download the software control panel??

This is the most unintuitive software I've ever used. And its super inconsistent as well. I bought the Orion 32+ despite all the negative reviews. Wanted to give it a chance, unfortunately everything they say about antelope is true. The unit is super inconsistent, buggy. I find myself looking at tutorials, how to's, troubleshooting material more than anything with this unit. Shame since it had so much potential.

How to setup 5.1 routing ?

Is it possible to get 4 different headphones mixes plus another different main monitors mix?
@clickstudiodeva4 жыл бұрын
I am recording outboard machines and using all 32 physical inputs. Any chance I can route my DAW output to monitor output without sacrificing 2 of the 32 input channels ? Or maybe a way to blend at least 2 of the MIXERS so I can monitor both analog ins and DAW out ?
@AntelopeAudio4 жыл бұрын
Hi! You are not sacrificing any of the 32 physical inputs for your monitor outputs, you will have to sacrifice 2 channels from USB Play (DAW outputs) in order to monitor the master channel in your DAW. If you want to monitor both the 32 physical inputs as well as the Master channel from the DAW, you will have to route all 32 physical inputs to any mixer channel of your choice, after that take the stereo sum from that mixer channel (for example MIX 1 L/R) and route it to another mixer channel, in that new mixer channel also route USB Play 1-2 (default output for the master channel for the DAW), after doing so please route the stereo sum of this Mixer channel (for example MIX 2 L/R) to your monitors, this way you will be monitoring both the inputs and the Master channel from your DAW. If you have any other questions - please get back to us!

Hi, a simple question: how do you disable routing. For example if I want the TB play to go only to the adat out and not to the physical outputs of the orion? And how do you delete existing routing? thx!
@AntelopeAudio6 жыл бұрын
You can always right click on the outputs that you want to "disable" and select "mute". There is no option like "disabling" t he routing but if you want to disable everything you can simply right click on the "TO" tab and select "mute row".

@@AntelopeAudio That doesn't answer their question, undoing routing decisions is over complicated and the 'undo' button only works 20% of the time. And no one answers the phone for support. Beyond frustrated with Antelope audio, seems like a good product but the software is trash.

How do you reset the routing matrix?
@AntelopeAudio8 жыл бұрын
At the moment there is no reset option. One solution is to select one of your other presets that has the factory default settings in it. This way you can "reset" the matrix.

So, if I got it right: 1. Every input channel does NOT have a channel strip 2. Every output channel does NOT have a mixer 3. Physical inputs and outputs are NOT shown in DAW, they need to be routed first, and they're limited to 24 or 32 channels, even when I'm allowed to connect 64 channels (adat, madi, etc...) I'm sorry but those are basics. Is there any chance those points will be fixed?
@AntelopeAudio6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your questions and comments! 1. That is correct. There are no "channel strips" 2. There are only 4 software mixers available that can be routed to any channel of your choice 3. Even though the factory setup has inputs and outputs already routed to your daw channels, its always suggested to route them for yourself for ultimate optimization. The limitation of 32 channels is the limitation of the physical ins and outs. 64 channels is the maximum capacity of what the MADI connection can carry. As about "fixing" these points: 1. The Orion32+ will never have channel strips since its a converter 2. I do not think that this is possible considering the limitations of the software inside the device. 3. The physical ins and outs are not shown in the DAW because the configuration possibilities are countless inside the Orion's control panel. A configuration that might work well with you, might not work well for others and vice versa. For any further questions you can always contact Antelope Audio support :-)
