It's true it amazes me why it is that we is Gamers put up with this bull crap when it comes to the gaming industry. I'm sick and tired of my most beloved games being screwed over because of these greedy jackasses that are the AAA gaming industry. In Canada we pay $90 for our video games a hell of a lot of money add to that with season passes that sometimes are close to $60 and DLC that is usually 40 to $50 depending on the content and a lot of that content has been crap lately. And then you add to that the DLC and microtransactions that manipulate the game play to progress the game. We put up with a lot as Gamers from the industry and then you add to that the gaming journalists that have their head completely up their ass who criticized us every time we called the industry help for their bad behavior. At some point Something's Gotta Give here I think that the gaming industry is going to self implode one of these days and it's going to come sooner than we think. For the main fact that even the game creators are even fed up with the industry. When you have all of those game creators these qualified game creators leaving the business because it's this bad. The truth is I am not that excited about E3 each year it's getting less and less exciting because it's just more and more lies. Games that are announced never come to fruition half the time and when they do come out there nothing but lies. And the worst part is that even when this game is absolute crap like Anthem we can't even get our money back even with the damn receipt like any other product on the planet. The gaming industry is the only industry that allows this garbage.

Not really blaming EA in this particular case it's mostly BioWare who is to blame. I'm not a big fan of EA but gotta put the blame where it belongs even though it would be very easy to put it on EA, after all they don't exactly have the best track record. The executives and the managers at EA are not Interested in video games or story telling. They are corporate guys who would be the same working for Verizon or United health insurance. So this attitude filters down throughout. No one is staying awake thinking of what the dialogue should be for he characters. It won't because it's technically correct. Sure, they made a short map specific for E3 with all of the stuff going on being scripted and custom-tailored to be played in one specific way instead of showing off dynamic weather systems in an actual sprawling world, but that doesn't change the truthfulness of that line at all. It's not a pre-rendered video, it's indeed a real time playthrough of a map in the game itself. Vertical slices are bullshit.

It is definitely the developers. The story goes about like this. EA funded them based on blind trust believing Bioware would deliver an amazing game after 5 years. Bioware dicks around for 5 years and spends all the money because they can't make up their mind about what they want to make. EA exec shows up after 5 years and asks how the game is going. They show him a barely playable concept and he gets furious. He gives them a deadline after few months or else. Bioware finally get off their lazy asses and create that E3 2017 fake video. EA exec is very impressed and tells them to keep the flying mechanic. The poor guy doesn't even knows it was a fake video. They show it at E3 and claim it is in game footage. Bioware rank and file employees finally find out what they are making and how the game will look. They then start scrambling to finish the game. EA finds out that the game is nowhere near completion so they bring in emergency help from other studios. Bioware still fails to finish the game after almost 7 years and it is launched in its current sorry state. The end of this sad story.

They got caught with their pants down from a direction they had no idea would be a problem, they got orders to not let up on loot restrictions to "incentivize engagement" even though people would rather stop playing than keep grinding, and they got nothing to patch all the holes with. So they just throw out what little undercooked prefabs they got.

@@cattrucker8257 Yup, that makes sense.Ive been saying for ages they are intentionally holding back on the loot because obviously somebody thinks its a way to keep players,shame the result is actually the opposite because the game is not enjoyable enough for the grind required to gear up with decent rolls,having totally irrelevant stats into the rng pool is stupid, like getting ice damage on a weapon thats not ice based on a jav that uses no ice weapons.So stupid and i have no idea who thought it was a good idea or maybe its just totally pisspoor design with a single table of stats for all the gear rather than separate relevant ones. Im enjoying td2 with over double the play time i got out of Anthem to date, going to have to be a big improvement to get me back.If id paid for Anthem i would have already gotten a refund.
