As a solo player I agree. I like using magic & etc. So Storm seemed like my go to Javelin but...it's gameplay mechanics have me on the fence now. Of course I only have the Paris gameplay footage to go off & the devs said that build was very old & not ideal. But Storm & Interceptor seemed more like wet toilet paper than glass cannons in that build. Their builds seemed to lack utility & self-sustain of any kind. The Ranger however seems VERY capable of doing whatever it pleases. Can handle any situation. I'm impressed with it.

I agree. Honestly I think I will stick with the ranger, and probably have col as a back up if tank is needed. Just because it is the starting suit doesn't mean anything. In warframe Excal is a starting suit and one of the most powerful in the game (or at least it was last time I played)

Warframe was so damn boring . I tried playing 150+ hrs since everyone was like play more you will get to the great part . But ultimately I gave up because it was just boring procedural levels , boring enemies and every mission was just repetitive

Warframe was good for the first few hundred hours. But once you unlock most of the weapons & warframes, it gets boring af. The developers also take way too long to release updates to the game. Warframe is in a huge content drought at the moment

Adam Fletcher tbf destiny 2 is not that great. Hell I have every single dlc but I can’t even bring myself to level up 50 more light to get to max Bc it’s so fucking boring. This however looks amazing. Beautiful and fun. I like how ability spam is something you can build for because I hate really long cool downs. Since it’s not PvP they don’t need to worry about that and if they ever do then I hope they keep pvp and pve on separate builds.

These classes look good, it would be awesome if there was a engineer type javelin which constructs turrets, disables enemy weapons etc. I like that kind of support play style.Although it would be shit to solo, would be fun with friends.

What I don’t understand about ranger is the fact that it has a gear piece that says to use a missle first then a frag grenade and you get a bonus dmg buff for a few seconds but there is only one ability of the missle abilities that primes, so maybe the combo system is just designed towards how you choose to play? I know this by watching a dev video.

Ranger is the Sword and Shield of anthem. Massively underrated because it's the default, but potentially the strongest in the game due to sheer versatility.

I see no mention about the Ranger's melee being the only one that primes a target on hit? It's also a single target hit but if you do it from air it turns into an aoe hit. Being able to prime a target with electricity with your melee is amazing. The only Javelin that can prime with melee and then lead right into some of its detonator abilities to self combo in which the Ranger deals even more damage. The Ranger is not a jack of all trades. Idk why people keep saying this. Have you even played it? You guys need to go watch Dantic's videos about each Javelin. The Ranger is one of if not the highest single target damage dealing Javelin in the game. So while it may be descent at other stuff it is indeed a single target dps monster and the best suit for a solo player imo.

I can understand the idea behind an ultimate charge timer but to set the ultimate system in a rigid fashion over simplifies it, why not have ultimates you can swap through and have limited ammo like the rest of the guns? If you are going for the "iron man" feel the best thematic tool would have been to make the weapons modular in design, as in have a wrist mounted laser coupled with a leg mounted grenade launcher that springs out when cooking a grenade. The whole firing a regular gun from an iron suit and lobbing the grenade manually feels like a waste of potential especially considering how cool some of the stuff looks in this game when deployed (eg shoulder mounted launcher).

There are 2 gear slots for grenade/ launcher gear. So you can probably choose one ability from each type, I guess. The shoulder-multi-launcher is always available, because that's the ultimate.

I don't understand why the legs of the Javelins are shaped like that. Those look more like hind legs of a dog more than Hunan legs Do humans have these unusual shape legs to fit in these things or are their legs normal and they have to bend them backward in order to stand straight because the javelins has an extra extended leg section?

No problem! and the javelins are separate from your character meaning you can switch javelins while still retaining your pilot progress which is cool, means you arent forced to "main" one to be good at it, getting the gear for it is another question tho

What the demo had that /no/ trailer so far has had is the limited flight time bar. That destroys the exact feel they go so far portraying, and feels like a borderline betrayal in the process. It's like hyping a superman game showing him flying around endlessly, only to tack on an utterly artificial hindrance for sloppy, lazy game balance purposes after the fact.
