Hi Phil, my name is Roger Soares and I am a neurologist in Brazil. I got to know this documentary during your Video Production Course, which I'm taking in Udemy. I was moved by Anthony's story and I couldn't help but to contribute with closed caption in brazilian Portuguese. I've just uploaded it and hopefully KZbin will accept it. So be prepared to have more visitors from Brazil! Best of luck for you and Anthony!

Phil Ebiner This video is such an inspiration and Dan is such an incredible human being! I found this video so beautifully sad and I am still balling my eyes out I can't see to type but with his courage, strength and his attitude, his outlook it's so hard to feel sorry for him..hes amazing! I'm so grateful that you bring these bitter sweet videos and remind me every single day that no matter how hard I think I have it there's always someone who has it a Lot harder...I think we need to think about that when we are having what we think is a difficult time...Dan is a beautiful soul and his wife is absolutely amazing ❤ I'm so happy they have each other..❤..I hate this disease it is horrible and so unforgiving...I have spent so much time being terrified that I would get cancer or any life changing horrific diseases that I have lost year's that I could have been living..😢..Thats why I'm so grateful that you introduced us to these absolutely amazing people and it's changing my life...and for that I am forever grateful! Thank you so much Dan for showing me how to live again! I wish Dan knew just how much his story is changing my outlook! Sending hugs your way...xo Hydie 🤗❤💪

Anthony I am living with ALS and you are my true inspiration! I love watching you and your wife! I am blessed to have a husband as wonderful to me! I talk about you every chance I get! Thank you for helping me out of a depression that was taking over me. I choose to LIVE my best life everyday and my health does not own me it's something I live and adjust to it! Love you and your beautiful wife. Take care and I hope to see more and more of your videos!
You are so very lucky to have a beautiful hearted lady to call your wife, can tell she will be with u right til the very end xxx wish u a long life with the slowest deterioration as possible, young man xxx I am going through testing myself at 36, and with 3 young kids, 1 having down syndrome, I am absolutely frightened, god bless u, Anthony xoxo
This life isnt fair for any of us ..lost my son of 30 yrs two yrs ago the grief is unbelievable ..i feel your pain ..God bless and comfort you on your journey
my best friend who is only 43, just got diagnosed with ALS last week - he told me about it yesterday, and i don't know how he's living it through - he has two young kids, a family, and the doctors gave his life a timeline of 3 years. i hope he wakes up from the nightmare he is having.
Watching this video among many others is helping me cope with my own loss. My twin sister died June 18th 2020. She sought the care of a homeopathic and never got diagnosed until 6 weeks prior to her passing but lived less then 2 years from symptom onset. She had every symptom and refused to see a Dr. There are many ways proven to help quality of life for ALS and extend the life by some months which Anthony did. It is a devastating disease and we need a cure! If you have it in your family, your chances to get it in each generation is supposed to be 50/50. This said, it is so very tragic this family had it in each generation. Being a twin I have a risk possibly but we dont really know as our family hasn't had it before. My twin sister was 56.

You really capture the "beauty" and the "story" of a moment. You are the Normal Rockwell of pictures. Your ALS story is real. It's sobering. And, it's all of us. We are all only here a season. Thank you for your transparency. Your grit. your sincerity. I am familiar with ALS and I help support it and I am looking into ways to do more. I'm limited physically myself - but, I will do what I can. May God richly bless you - and lift you up - and, shine upon you. I don't know why God allows these burdens we go through. But do know, I go through it with you. You are in my prayers (for whatever they are worth.) I say that, because, I don't know where God is in my own journey - yet, I still pray. I will look at your pics and I plan on buying your art !!!!
Anthony is very lucky . He has a lot of support from his loving family and comfortable living conditions. Some people who are terminally ill don’t have any support at all which saddens me . I hope they do all they can to find a cure for this disease for Anthony , his mum and everyone else fighting ALS.
I think when people ask What does it feel like to be dying? like you said in your video, is a natural question, because when your healthy the idea of not existing is hard to comprehend so people are curious to the emotions that are attached to your illness. When we are sick and you see a timeline in front of you, your senses become alive..moments seem more precious, the sunsets are more brilliant, birds singing are calming, everything is more alive than it was before you become ill...and its unfortunate that it takes an illness such as this to wake up our brains to the wonders of life.....with that being said , smile laugh, relax, love, do something nice for someone occasionally, and exhale...

Just so moving. Anthony you are amazing, your beautiful wife is amazing and your passion to live it out giving it your very best is incredible. Thank you Phil, truly phenomenal work.
I just came across these videos. I'm inspired. I haven't officially been diagnosed, but my EMG showed motor neuron loss in my right leg and both arms. Just beginning to wrap my head around this. Repeat EMG 11/1/17. Then I will have an official answer. Thankyou for inspiring me.
You have such a great attitude. I wonder how you are doing now. I feel so selfish with the way I feel about my life sometimes and then I find you. Such a blessing.
I am following your story for some time, thanks for this video, you are one of the kind, Anthony, I wish you all the best. I think it's shame that 70 years after Lou Gehrig died we still don't have a cure or at least treatment for this horrific disease.

My dad passed away of MSA and i have a friend that has MS. I hope they find a cure for MSA, MS and ALS. 😳
He’s now divorced. That hurts my heart. What happened to “in sickness & in health”? You don’t abandon love when things go south. How do you walk away from someone who you promised to love & cherish? No one said marriage would be easy. I pray he finds love again. He deserves it more than anyone❤️

We must also feel for the human side of the wife. Flesh gets tired and overwhelmed. She is human. Taking care of a dying person is rigorous; not everyone can handle it.
@dazeldibujosfeos84354 жыл бұрын
@@officetechtyping That’s bullshit, if you’re not gonna be by his side on the bad times, you don't deserve to be with him on the good times, when he was still able to walk, when he was popular and meeting with celebrities.
