They don't. Even Josh said he didn't meet John since he was in the band. It's really strange since they all seemed to be friends and now this situation. I mean friends at least talk to eachother from time to time... A part of John Frusciante must really have been died then, but on the otherhand thats the real John Frusciante as we know him, always changing. I admire this, even if i don't get it.

There are still a few people who think he will come back but to be honest it based more on pure hope than common sense (that's not an insult btw). As many others have said John is on another planet these days (or as us Brits might say - away with the fairies) and he just has no interest in playing guitar and making 'product'. Personally I think the band will finish soon; they are all getting older and they just aren't setting the world on fire like they used to.
@nikolamandicc8 жыл бұрын
Respect your opinion. But yeah you are right it is based on the pure hope (that is what believe means) and it really doesn't seem fair for this band to disappear like this. So that's why my hope is strong. Also I hope that will John realise that popularity is not bad thing. Of course you shouldn't be obsessed with it, but it doesn't make you a good artist if you just run away from people. I could talk about his drug past and consequences of it but that's long story. Also I'm not that type of guy who thinks that Rolling Stones are still playing because they used drugs. If you know what I mean.

John Frusciante is a great musician. A terrific musician. But us as fans of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, can't exactly bitch and moan at everything that they do without Frusciante, if you want to do that then listen to Mother's Milk, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Californication, By The Way, and Stadium Arcadium. Me personally, I love The Gateway. It's has a very nice groove to the entire album. Josh is starting to let his creatively flow with Anthony, Chad and Flea. And damn it let's just enjoy the fact that after 30 plus years, we still have the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

A huge reason why I want John back is because he cares a lot about the music he plays, as if the amp is wired to his heart. We never know what john's going to play or improvise to give us one hell of a show, but he never failed to impress me. Josh is a good guitarist, but all the greatest Rhcp music was written by John, so josh plays the song as it is and seems afraid to give it a touch of his taste of improvisation. John takes his music and hillel's music changes it how he likes, he creates something out of love and for the satisfaction of the fans, no one would ever replace him, he's one of a kind...

Stadium Arcadium was everything they had to offer as a group with Frusciante, which was their masterpiece in my opinion. The creativity that John brought is what made that band. Californication proved that with tracks like 'Savior' n 'This Purple Glove' the likes of which has never been written before and here after. No one accept Frusciante could of given birth to such beauty. He also knew when an era has come to pass and respected that instead of trying to churn out one more hit for Warner Bros. This is my opinion though and the way I witnessed this era. When Blood Sugar Sex Magik came out it was the coolest most important album of the time in the way that it bridged our culture with the rap/hip hop culture. It was an album that actually moved you an inspired many guitarists to come. Every young dude that was learning to play was asking me to teach them the riffs for 'Under the Bridge' . For me, it was the first album to turn me onto funk, which has influenced my playing since.

But, if we heard John’s side and how he processes life’s thoughts, well I am sure we would be all ears haha. I love what Anthony has done, but I am sure the relationship is complex to this day in 2020 with new John is back. Stuff is forgiven, but stuff is never forgotten. Stuff I could be wrong. But, it’s just a hunch after following this band since 2004 or so, and experiencing my own life since then with people.

Most recent album is confused but theres some awesome in there and if they can hear it , they can harness it. The sound has changed and Rick Rubin is gone. Accept. The only constant is change. Newsflash Energy levels arent what they used to be but these guys as the unit they now are can still blow minds if you as a fan allow some breathe. You really cant question Joshs talent. Listen to the first 10secs of The Longest Wave, Sick Love also carrying the new goods as well as Encore. This is the current lineups happy place is my feeling. Listen to the old albums for the funk shot to the groin people and let the older dudes continue to bring us the good shit. Unless nothing about you has changed in 20 years this shouldnt be too much to ask. Im laughing at myself here too. I would have done anything these guys told me to at one point in my life. Dimas Martinez I strongly disagree. Josh is talented, no doubt, but the music he has made with the peppers is mediocre at best. The best situation is to have john back in the band on guitar and keep josh in there on keys. also have john produce more after effects with his acid house stuff as background which he can do for the recordings and also just play live pre recorded. they should all pop off together. anthony/john provide the tension within the band to push each other to new heights. it can be emotionally draining because there personalities can clash so much within the music but that tension also brings out the best in each other. quit being butthurt and make good music. stadium arcadium was fucking amazing. i want another one, with josh, and with johns new electronic skills. recognize your differences create beauty. let's go.

I've been looking all over, but I can never find the reason WHY he left. I just see interviews of band members who describe how wonderful he was and how much they miss him, but if he was so wonderful then why did he leave? Does anyone know?

I like how Anthony have only nice, kind and lovely words for his mate, even though it was obvious that things between them were not so good, compared for example to the Smiths and their public hate towards each other

If I close my eyes it's like I'm listening to a musical Mike Tyson! In all seriousness though, this is an interest way to write a song together.

The Getaway is not necessarily a 'worse' album just because it has less of a punk influence/less energy. I believe the album is more mellow because the Chili's lives are more mellow as they've grown up. That's what makes them such artists and true creators. They are making music that represents themselves and their lives. They stay true to their own path of development instead of spitting out a recording labels idea of crowd pleasing cookie cutter albums. Yes, The Getaway lacks the Frusciante fire and soul but then again, it makes those albums that were graced by his playing that much more important. I think each album has a story to tell and to be able to follow that story through this many years is a rare and beautiful experience.

If they ever make a biography film about Anthony they should cast Derek Zoolander to portray him.

John was obviously amazing for RHCP but its pretty clear his personal demons prevent him from being that famous person in a worldwide popular band full time. Its conceivable he could rejoin them someday, hopefully when they are still young enough for another great album.
