I think the fear of the unknown can be what is most anxiety provoking for me. What will happen in the future, in these strange times? I find that getting out in nature is always my answer. I see that no matter what we humans are worried about, nature is still growing, blooming - and in many places like my home - thriving. It does not live fearful of the future, but thrives in the present. Important for us to keep in mind I think ❤️ lovely video as always!

Just an FYI for anyone planning to make this: I just made this. I love the process and the texture of the salve when it's done, but I'm unhappy with how weak the scent is (almost non-existent). I eyeballed the amount of herbs since this recipe gives no measurements for them. My olive oil infusion smelled amazing and concentrated, but the beautiful scent was eliminated when mixed with the melted beeswax and scoop of coconut oil. I didn't really want to use essential oils, but now I will probably melt it all down and add some in, to boost the scent. Otherwise, I really love this and can't wait to make other salves!
@fran74213 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Did you have any problems with the setting of the salve? I made it and let it sit for several hours but some oil just separates from the mixture and the mixture itself never seems to set :(. I waited a whole night to see if it would but it didn’t so I added more wax, but it still won’t set. Don’t worry if you don’t have an answer lol, just checking if I could get some advice from someone who already made it
@akaronnietorres3 жыл бұрын
@@fran7421 sorry I'm just now seeing this. I didn't have this issue. Maybe you could try chilling it in the refrigerator? Was it warm in your house? I wonder if it cooled too slowly or something. @fran74213 жыл бұрын
@@akaronnietorres no worries! I ended up adding more wax and letting it set in the freezer for an hour. Then I put it in the fridge and it was perfect! Thank u for ur help tho ☺️ oh and one more thing, is it normal for salves to be a bit oily to put in your hands? Cause I’ve noticed that it leaves my hands oily for a while, making everything I touch kind of a mess hahaha. I apologize if I’m smothering you with questions lmao. Thanks 💘
@akaronnietorres3 жыл бұрын
@@fran7421 I'm glad you figured it out. I think you can adjust the wax:oil ratio until you get the texture you prefer. Mine is a bit oily, yes. I just use a very small amount and try to rub it in as much as possible. I use mine mostly on my feet, lips, or on small skin irritations.

To be completely honest, watching your videos gives me so much hope. I often get lost in trying to keep up with the fast "trends" and trying to fit into a world that doesn't care for me. It's so hard not quite fitting into the trendy clothes, not quite being the smartest, the prettiest, the most talented, the best at.. anything really. It does feel like it's so easy to be lost as a drop of water in an vast ocean of expectations and consumerism, learning about the old ways and how people worked in the past and finding out they didn't expect to change themselves, only to adapt themselves (their clothes by mending them or restyling them, their foods to fit the weather, even the way recycling was used to improve practicality!) into the magical, wonderful world around them brings so much ease. Like knowing there is always gonna be someone better than me.. doesn't feel like a bad thing anymore. It doesn't feel like i'm in competition anymore, it feels like i am enough. Watching your videos and watching the world around me has made me truly open my eyes to the world around me. So thank you! keep doin what ya do, i have no doubts you're inspiring other people too!! Thank you for opening my eyes to the beautiful and magical world we live in, thank you for giving me hope and comfort in myself and my world
